so all this holo apex got me thinking if there is going to be a hololive apex tournament, and what i mean is we have:
roboco,suisei,matsuri,mel,korone,choco,marine,noel,pekora,rushia,towa,nene and ollie playing recently
with fubuki,okayu.shion,aqua,subaru,ayame.luna,ame, calli and reine that have not played recently but played at one point with some even religiously

How would you even organise such event? If I remember correctly, Apex doesn't have custom lobbies and/or community servers.

Well, maybe Cover can shill some money, get in contact with the developers or something, and get lots of supacha for this event. Idk that much since I don't play Apex, but who knows. If ever, maybe it'll be a christmas or new year's event, or one of the holidays

They do, in matter of fact, have customs. I'm sure that Cover could get their hands on one. Respawn are fairly easygoing when it comes to handing them out for tournies or events such as that. Especially those driven by content creators.

Now when it comes to organizing/format, that's whole other can of worms that I don't wanna dive into. It'd be a tad complicated with how few holomems actually do play. I'd say maybe drag Niji and some other Vtubing companies in and have a runback of the Vtuber tourney that happened a bit ago.

P.S: Yuuki Chihiro is the best Apex VTuber, others can fucking fight me.

We could easily have an Apex tourney, I think it would be cool, but the people you'd expect to show up won't for various reasons. There are some problems, I've noticed Roboco not touch another tourney since I believe the last one she was in. Ayame's not touched it, but Ayame also hasn't been streaming. Aqua also just by her own admission isn't a team player, because she'll be too busy helping her team rather than fighting.

How would you even organise such event? If I remember correctly, Apex doesn't have custom lobbies and/or community servers. Who can climb the ranks furthest in limited time?

I know the Western Towa fanbase sets up Apex skirmishes and tourneys in their discord, so there are ways to do it. They're also terribly unorganized from what I hear.

Someone guessed Delutaya's twitter password and was able to login to it. The account was suspended by Twitter automatically for new login hardware, but the phone number was changed by the hijacker.
So this Chad Triangle called the number and it was some random young kid. She got him to read the auth code that his phone received, logged back in and reset everything (new pass new phone number).

Best part? She came to talk about the event on the fan discord and revealed the old password.

I'm aware of a tourney that's also going on this month with a number of content creators in it (including Matsuri). I just mean one ran and planned by Cover/A similar Vtuber company.

I could be missing out on the one you're talking about, as I don't have the time to check the video but yeah. Sorry for any confusion caused on my end.

Roboco seems to be the type who likes APEX but isn't into tourneys. Prolly due to competition stress and for first experience. I know Towa and Matsuri are addicted to Apex tourneys along with some of the boys.

Apex is really, really, really popular at JP. Like plenty of Apex streamers/pros organized their own tourneys.

Basically this.

There'd need to be guest appearances to fill out the custom lobby, and most tournaments have a value cap on Ranks that you can't go over (for example, the tournament will say 'you have 28 points to spend on your team', and if an APEX Predator is worth 12 and a Silver is worth 4, you could have 2 Pred players but your third player would have to be a Silver etc.)

Given that most mainstay Hololive players are somewhere in the Platinum/Low Diamond range, and the probable ban on who can't/won't interact with male Livers/Pro players, the skill cap will have to be comparatively low; or you'd spend most of your time micro-managing who can play with who to make the most balanced teams (something Shibuya HAL tried to do for Towa, Matsuri, and Roboco in January when they were banned by Cover from interacting with men - but the balancing failed).

So Hololive would NEED the likes of Nijisanji and LVG on board for players like Chihiro, Bora, Miyako, Chigusa, Sumire, Ichinose, Noah etc to act as leaders for the not-so-good Holos.

It would take significantly more planning to do it right than what Nijisanji need. Would be a nice opportunity for them to finall close the gap between Hololive and Holostars but I won't be holding my breath.

P.S. Chihiro is absolutely cracked and gets such unfair treatment from ChroNoir fans who talk shit on her. But if DokiBird is Selen then it's curtains for anyone else trying to claim the #1 spot. As far as I can tell, there are no consistent Pred players in Niji, Holo, or even LVG, and based on the 1 (one) stream of her playing APEX, she plays at a Pred level whilst entertaining the chat and talking mad shit similar to how Suisei is with Tetris 99.

So this is going on right now. Actually a cool schilling event so far. . . good group to have. Props to Subaru being the old hat at the series, and Marine for outing herself as having played on the SNES before. . . unlike the others. . .

There are some problems, I've noticed Roboco not touch another tourney since I believe the last one she was in.

Most of the tournaments since the Shibuya HAL tournament have not only been invitational-only, but usually have a skill floor of Platinum. As Roboco and FBK are typically Gold players, they don't get invited despite FBK probably being a more lucrative presence in your tournament than Matsuri and Towa (and most of the Niji members that get in too).

But it wouldn't surprise me if it was a confidence issue. Her previous team comprised of herself, FBK, and Kurumi Noah. As Noah is a Master-level player, she did a LOT of hard carrying and they ended up finishing waaaay below Noah's probable expectations. The upset on all of them was palpable and I'm pretty sure FBK streamed APEX for like 6 hours after the tournament ended to de-stress and feel better about herself.

Still, if it's a HOLOLIVE tournament where it's mostly comprised of friends and relatively low stakes, then I don't see why Roboco and FBK wouldn't get involved. There'd be a lot of Bronze/Silver players like Suisei, Pekora, Calli etc so if they lowered the skill ceiling down, suddenly Gold becomes one of the higher ranks and they'll be much more in their element.

The difference between Silver and Platinum is much, much tighter than Gold and Master.
