In my long tenure with the crowd it's less about doing good and more so about being the most self-righteous.
Most of the higher-ranking members of the club are filthy rich and often engage in late-stage capitalism by having their cronies donate thousands to them on patreon and whatnot ( COUGH ,Hassan, COUGH).
