General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It also feels like FuwaMoco went from being the posterchild of good vtubing on the EN side to an absolute shitshow as management seemingly pushes them to do more and more management related events and tasks. Their first half year and some change was amazing, but now it feels like they're being posited to be the replacement 'face' for EN and that has absolutely destroyed their channels output.
I question how much of that is management, and how much is FUWAMOCO. They love to say they're "hungry puppies," and we know they take on every voluntary project they can, so I bet they're pushing themselves unnecessarily hard. Look at all the voice packs they've done, for example. I agree good management is the solution though, because someone should be helping them balance their workload.

Newfags on here going on about "THIS IS THE END OF HOLOLIVE OMG" are retarded.

Hololive today isn't the Hololive back then. Suisei has pointed it out. The shit they could get away with back then was when it was 4K people watching their streams and seeing them make the occasional joke that wouldn't fly with a broader audience.

Has Hololive gotten a bit worse after it went public? Yes.

But is it as bad as Nijisanji? No. Yes, Management has fucked up before in cases such as Ina's visa or when a JP Manager was very scrupulous with Nerissa when she had her family members on stream but they aren't going out there enabling a bunch of Elira Pandora's.

You also have to understand (I already said this btw) that a lot of these girls have been around since 2019. Some started when they were 17 even and now are in their 20s. Some have medical problems, others have family problems, and some fucked up. The graduation of Gura isn't something that shouldn't be expected given her schedule for the last 2 years ontop of how long she's been around (2020). New people, new management as it expands, new decisions, and life. A LOT can happen in 5 years. A lot HAS happened in 5 years. I mean ffs Coco graduated in 2021. Only 4 years ago.

If I remember right, it happened right after the Irys x Kiara x Mori nail painting off-collab, which was a really fun one. That decision was lame as hell.
You remember correctly. That was a really fun collab, too. The problem with some companies is that it can be really easy for a small handful in charge to make completely retarded decisions and no one has the power to contest it effectively. I've seen it plenty of times first hand.

Call me a schizo or whatever, but Cover has known for a while that Gura was going to throw in the towel, and that Gura is still the most known face in the western market. Them placing FuwaMoco in basically every big project and having stuff like their 3d live not have ANY overlap from EN talents just makes me believe that they're managements, well, lapdogs at this point. It is what it is, the bulk of the fun, consistent content I got back in 2023-mid 2024 won't ever be a reality anymore.

As a Bravesfag, I'm glad Gawr Gura is graduating so the Dodgers can lose their good luck charm.
They're already losing the division to San Diego, this is just kicking them while they're down (which I approve because I want the NL West to be a bloodbath).
You were supposed to save hololive, not destroy it!
Learn to thumbnail, /vt/ retard.

Is your precious containment board really that much of a spergatory that majority of you cannot spend 5 minutes to check if anyone from the same hivemind typed out the same opinion on the same thread before you shit it up with the same sentence over and over again? Have none of you ever looked at a forum or small community and thought about lurking moar to find out about its culture and the do's and don'ts before you ever participate in it?

TVA is this way if you're gonna continue to act like the SEAniggers you bitch about 24/7 and refuse to integrate.

Buddy, I don't know why you want to keep going "LOOK AT NIJI". No one is trying to say Hololive is going to fall apart tomorrow, but there are fans who joined up who want what it was, rather than what it's becoming now.

I wish more people understood this. Twitter troons are going to make gorillions of posts about how this is le heckin' end of Hololive and that everyone should apply to Phase Connect instead.

I will never fucking forget Nijisanji doing the corpo equivalent of bitchslapping Selen with the termination notice going line by line, acknowledging bullying allegations, and downplaying the severity of her trying to commit suicide. And then having the balls to say her impact will be negligible on investor reports. Dramafaggots who say Cover is anywhere near this bad are dumb monkeys. Could you imagine Gura having a suicide attempt and Cover pulling this shit? Fuck no.

Holoen looking a liiittle sparse lately, I honestly wonder what the disagreements are this excuse being used constantly is becoming comical.
Holo went public and there's been a bigger push to be more idol like so more albums, more concerts, and etc. The girls that just want to be streamers seem to be bailing. At this point Yagoo and management need to get a grip on this or Holo is gonna implode. Their stock is in freefall atm since Gura announced her graduation.

I'm now inclined to buy a bootleg nendo of her simply because I like the design. I suspect even the bootlegs will disappear from the market very soon.

Let's hope she finds her passion again, be it streaming or something else.

Anyone coping and seething about a company who has has more talent quit in one year than it's whole existence is an idiot. The most recongnizable, biggest Vtuber in the world just quit, due to mangement. In any properly run company, she could have done anything she wanted, with no hassle, because she was the queen bee. Not stressed so hard she couldn't eat some days.

This is the equivilant of Michael Jordan in his prime quitting the Bulls and saying that the coach is an asshole.

This will have an impact on the perception, earnings, and morale of the company.

Is this the end of Cover, probably not, but it is the final nail in the coffin that things are not as good as it seems.

These viewpoints exist in contention with one another because the concerts they've been pushing for have been cutting into holo's earnings, not increasing them (this was explained on one of their recent investor reports I'm pretty sure)

Concerts rarely if ever are actual profit earners. if once again "going public" was the culprit there I don't think they'd be pushing for the thing that is cutting into the company earnings. It's hard to beat the drum of "the investors only care about profits are driving the decisions" but then also say the investors are....... choosing to make less money.

I don't know that I'd argue that playing favorites and just letting the big talent do anything they want (while presumably not letting the other talents do that) is what I would call a "properly run company" and I think many would consider that Actual black company behavior.
