General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Remember Tomoe Umari, the tomboy horsegirl whose roommate has been in the U.S army for 20 years and previously raised money for veterans with PTSD?

She is now taking a break from streaming over the following days to grieve after the suicide of of her former NCO and friend.

So if you're looking at people who won't be graduating any time soon, it's gonna be Mori(Who probably doesn't have the visa trouble anymore, but does have a big fat UMG contract and is living a version of her dream), Ina(Though she also likely has a visa through the light novel art she does), Bae(Likely trapped in the visa, but also living her dream so probably doesn't want to go anyway), IRyS(Though I think she has citizenship due to her parents), Fuwamoco(Living the dream but also visa trapped), Biboo(Don't know if this is her dream but she's enjoying the fuck out of it, and visa trapped), Raora(She might have had a work visa prior?), and anyone else who decides to move to Japan. It's ironic then, that living in Japan makes you far more likely to have a good manager, or at least the ability to get a good one. It's those not living in Japan that have a lot more trouble, and thus more reason to want out.
Biboo had a manager she adored in the first place and as such has nothing to do with moving. As far as anything else, there's like 20 minutes of her rambling about things in general here, though if you want the moving to Japan specific section-

-IRyS' entire first year was a shitshow what with the music push fucking up her throat, outfit issues, 3d problems, and getting the whole redesign before things finally started working out for her. Being in Japan wasn't a magical journey of everything going well constantly. Time eventually fixed things but it wasn't easy on her and she had to fight them to get shit solved.
-It skips over Kiara and Kronii, both of whom have been vocal about numerous managers but neither of which have randomly decided trying to move is the solution. Instead they deal with shit as it happens and actively voice their displeasure to the company themselves instead of rolling over even if results take a while. Both have cycled through a manager or few yet stick it out.
-This entirely ignores that Shiori hasn't moved but adores her manager and experiences so far. Nerissa is pretty much the same as far as I'm aware.
People do and have dealt with different problems despite being from from various parts of the world. There's no need to constantly merge these two things beyond a forced attempt at lumping them together purely to find an attack angle.

This is ignoring the consideration that Advent and Justice, who have joined later and quite likely aren't nearly as affected by "directions with the company" having already seen and understood what they were signing on for. We also have basically no commentary from Justice on their management that I know of, which arguably sits on them being good enough they aren't complaining. "No news is good news." (Subject to change as time goes on, which was the case with all the rest.)
It also makes sure to exclude stuff like ID entirely or the fact Re:Gloss had issues getting Fes outfits despite being JP for some reason.

Per usual, there's problems to be talked about that don't require making up a boogyman about why/what parts of management are an issue purely based on location. Which is the main reason I still think pushing back on it is fair. Despite all the complaints and claims that Cover is mid burning collapse, there's also a theme of things getting better when they strongly and consistently push for it because people have different experiences and tolerances. Some people don't want to deal with that effort. And sure I would agree a few probably made what was or felt like zero progress in their attempts to do so. Lucky for them this is a medium/job where they can actually say "Fuck it I'm done" and well hey look, several apparently did.

Ina(Though she also likely has a visa through the light novel art she does)
I'd also just like to add on along with some of the others since no one else mentioned it. That this in particular is a somewhat baffling thing to say to craft this theory given Ina's last year involving considerable Visa woes.

She absolutely does not have a work visa through her LN work.

I have a hypothetical question.
What could Sinder possibly say that would absolve her?
Like a certain gambling addict, I'm betting on Red. She'll cry out that he was "abusive" and "manipulative", leaning full on into the woman card. My faith in Twitchniggers is so low that I do believe they'll fall for it and accept her back into the fold as a battered woman who had to do what the evil MALE said.

That the company has thrown away three of the top four EN talents totally unnecessarily, due to some kind of office-politics shit can't be true.
four if you count coco (RIP)

I don't really get the whole "If you live in Japan you get good managers" angle, as many of them have had the same stumbling blocks as the others.
it's not related to japan, it's the distance. there's a big difference being at the end of an email chain and the occasional facetime to storming into cover HQ and raise a stink face to face with yagoo.
