Ollie is simply the most yab holo that exists right now. As you say, it's troubling, but I also really like her for the entertainment and am considering membership.
I want her to continue being a sperg and build that kind of character as it's unique in hololive, and she has really made an impression on the other holos (how many times do you see holos talk about someone like Anya instead of Ollie's newest shenanigans? She's been accepted into the main cliques) but I can deffo see 1-2 "breaks" this year announced on twitter for some major Ollie yabs that haven't happened yet.

I can understand feeling guilt for something your audience does but this is fucking pointless. Everyone puts on a voice for an audience, whether it's part of the character (you would know all about this) or just part of performative projecting. Quite a few people use pitch shifters or distortion devices and nobody gives a shit, but to think that she is the root cause behind this is fucking stupid since people like Nyanners have been accused of faking it for years. Lilypichu has been accused of it even when she was just on Youtube. Actual trans people get hung up on it but again: this has been happening for fucking years. It happened before Snuffy and it'll happen after she quits.

I think it's more a "I don't want to be the reason random people are harrassing other streamers." Audiences are stupid, and other vtubers have had to call their audience out for this kind of behavior before. Marine is a constant favorite of mine because the way she talks about experiences, and that she is repeatedly called a 'boomer' are near and dear to my heart. We are the same age and in my line-of-work I am repeatedly called 'ancient,' '72 going on 82,' and my personal favorite, 'old-man-of-the-mountain.' Experience isn't really married to years so much as. . . well. . . experience. And if you had a relatively eclectic life, or simply had a lot of interests to keep you busy, talking about that makes you seem and feel older. One guy I work with now seemed much older [than me] but it was due to experience in the field. Noel's roommate gets hit with being older on her channel and she is 24~25. But she has been streaming since 12.

I agree actually. I didn't take it as being self-centered (maybe that bit about being the 'first' to out herself), but more that she actively saw people mention her name in another's chat. It is a good move to get out in front of this kind of thing in the ENVTuber community because, as we have seen, the ENVYTubers like to stir that kind of minor event into larger drama.

I would say you both have a point. I agree with Cubanodun in his assessment of reality. . but the new guy might be on to something regarding how VShoujo is selling itself to HL (which might be blinded by the overt sexuality of VShoujo and not weeding out the political drama aspect in their quarantine procedures). If Zentreya is seen as the most. . . ugh. . . 'seiso,' of the bunch. . . it would make more sense that Cover isn't focusing and blocking Ollie. . . for now.
