The person is legit, but circumstance aside, this is unprofessional as hell. I expect him to be booted by his boss before he can save anyone. Insulting, and claiming foul play on your employer on social media is never a smart move, unless you're already big and have fans to protect you.

She's been working hard since she got her new Live2D, it's nice to see her spreading her wings. Earlier on in that stream she also called Tomari Mari (OG babiniku vtuber) and will be doing a collab with him/her at some point.

Apparently she also talked about Rika and Guutara a bit (Rika gave her some advice on selling merch, and Guutara has been inviting her to do things IRL), they will be doing another stream next month. Now that the taboo has been broken, I'm kinda hoping we get more roommate collabs (maybe our menhera god will show up 🌈)

Unless, of course, this in and of itself is a ploy that the boss has permitted. Black Companies that hide their identity aren't above employing tone-deaf marketing tactics to then push onto the employees. Anyone remember Koinoya Mai and the BiliBili announcement?

Generating saviourfags to 'stick it to management' still gives the same management exactly what they want — more eyes on their talent.

Tora is alright yeah. I like his singing but only recall watching one Nova stream with him in it so can't scout off the top of my head. At the very least you can trust him to not be a creep, which is I think the primary concern of knowing a male-dominated, socially inept otaku audience has an opportunity to be amongst those V-Tubers they simp for.

I'm also aware that Kaizoku Kaito recently graduated, and I know that a relatively popular Australian NSFW artist at least applied. I still have that gut feeling that there'll be a Master+ APEX player in there too.

Chink spam is nothing new at this point. Why can’t emperor Xi realize that those chink spams are from those who have too much free time and not commit to his 996 working model aka the “lying flat”. Just root then out and send them to labor camp already and leave us weebs alone.

What are the current suspects? I was hoping maybe they'll take this opportunity to grab at least one person that excels at some other content creation and would just be starting Vtubing, like Mori, but disappointingly that doesn't seem to be the case either. If Tora makes it in then I hope he'll be the only case of having existing connections; there's only so many times you can pull the same card before things start feeling incestuous as shit, and cronyism is already a concept being thrown around. In the worst case scenario, they might scare off potential candidates for future waves, leaving them thinking "well shit, I'm not part of Team Canada so my chance is virtually nonexistent, might as well apply to a smaller group or wait five years for the minuscule chance Holostars EN is a thing."

Imao, the new model look better. Her old one is even more generic and that weird big eyes are uncanny as hell. Still a bit weird circumstance. From all I know, they seems to be close together enough to have group discord of Ito Life's family. Wonder if there is anything behind the scene.

These meme reviews have all been kinda "meh" for me but I do enjoy that she often collabs with a bunch of people for them. Expect a bunch of kettle jokes because people suck.

Extremely unprofessional and at the same time even if she gets the 5k subs, it will be people who will just sub because they feel bad and not because they care. For the most part these same people will never watch her content.

Should probably bring things into perspective: V-Tubing has always been incestuous as shit, and it's nearly always benefitted from it purely from a product standpoint (definitely not from an opportunity standpoint). There are 65 million women in Japan, but of the 30 members of HoloJP, more than half of them knew at least one other person who went on to join Hololive or Nijisanji, and the overwhelming majority of them come from the same pool of NND talents. This isn't a new thing, and it's also a perspective only people like us, who actively look for and discuss past lives, are even aware of.

A lot of it really does just boil down to coincidence. LazuLight and Obsydia were selected at the same time but spaced out, so to argue one got in because of another implies that Nijisanji gave Finana recruitment authority to recommend Selen's scuffed Windows Movie Maker audition because they once played Amogus together before she even debuted. It's just not realistic.

Tora is a friend of Nova and Mint, yes, but as an individual he's also a male V-Tuber with a history of streaming, releasing covers, clips, collabs with other big Indies like Maia. He's a competent pick by virtue of his own work.

I absolutely think they should make future recruits less blatantly predictable, but Petra is also an example that they ARE looking outside the box for the right person when the right person comes along. Tora is just one member and he was always pretty much nailed on, but there's others there that are a big ol' question mark.
