Getting five of them honestly seems worryingly excessive, that's half of the current EN cast, and a third of it once they're in. Maybe they're trying to make up for not having them earlier, whether from playing things unnaturally safe or just not expecting the West to be interested in anything other than waifus? Three would've probably been enough, especially with the risk that they might not pull in the attention in the West that JP guys do.

When the second auditions happened, they were segmented into the female auditions (ended earlier, they fucked up something that made it clear the model previews are for a wave 3), and male auditions (ended later, zero model previews), so I'm assuming the guys are from the male auditions. I don't think I remember seeing any of these models before (I know they had some fat guy model that they dropped from one of the other branch auditions, I think?), so it doesn't seem like they're past unused models.
