@cosmic_overseer
If you want some further context: She is one of the very first western vtubers to ever make content and innovate on it. She was seen and acted as this reliable and kind leader that kickstarted the backbone of the EN community collabing with people and helping some with the tech.
Thing is, as many people as she inspired to pick up the medium and helped into roles of modest relevance as streamers. She really didn't accumulate as much success due to the inconsistency of only having time for it outside of her job and helping at home as well.
People took advantage of her immense kindness as much as there were those that genuinely looked up to her and befriend her. She really wasn't part of any big group or stuff like that due to her own desire of not compromising her creative freedom and the mentioned circumstances.
Everything came crashing down eventually after her grandmother died tho. Those that called themselves her friends and loved ones never supported her in any way past cheap pitying lip service, never made her feel integrated into things, and she entered into a big arc of depression
She quit her other job and started using streaming equally as this passion and as a coping mechanism she wanted to turn into something greater. She devoted herself to create a lot of unique and engaging content more than ever before and held onto it for some time.
Situation became starker when her hard work wasn't paying off as well as she wanted, the pandemic had hit and she tried to hold onto things with a smile and her stubbornness, thinking about ultimately going out with a bang from the medium giving it her all til the end of the year
Her plan was to transition into studying, to become a full time paramedic, retiring from streaming to better support her family and herself by the end of that year. The Holo audition acceptance changed the course of history for her like nothing else.
She became more reserved, more socially awkward than she was before and rather unhealthy in the sense of eating less and not taking good care of herself in the aftermath of her hikkikomori depressive phase but managed to pull through thanks to that glimmer of light.
She made some real friends, got her shit together as she said herself in terms of life habits, put into practice her work ethic and professionalism from past experiences, got a more cynical outlook on people, but stayed positive, stayed altruistic and committed to her family.
Hence, her loyalty to Hololive is almost unmatched, she is a Jack of All Trades with varying degrees of expertise in anything related to graphic design, edition and streaming software, she is a very humble and down to earth person, and Myth is really close and dear to her heart.
Some of it, she has disclosed on stream actually, like the part of retiring to become an EMT-3 professional, losing someone very important in her life to the point of making her fall into profuse depression and shut-in tendencies. But I won't lie that research plays a part.
