This is only speculation but I have a feeling Twitch are having issues appealing to advertisers in general, so this is a move to boost their impression count to add value. People are barely seeing Twitch ads, and when they are it's on content a lot of advertisers would rather not associate their brand with like the ethot hot tub/microphone blowjob streams.

I mean logically speaking from a "we need money from actual advertisers" perspective is to have Twitch purge and perma-ban the ethot hot tub farting asmr streams where they "accidently" go live spreading their vag for 10 minutes. It doesn't make sense to keep them on even with the coombux rolling in because everyone else on the site is effected negatively by them being there. If only Twitch had actual management to realize this fact.

For anyone wondering why a vtuber would show up in person at a booth, I'm not too familiar with the Tsunderia lore but I believe the avatar is her own creation, originally using a vroid and she joined the company with the copyright.
Also she has done at least one IRL stream on twitch and might be masked up at Off-Kai. Her tits are a meme in Tsunderia's general on /vt/ They're pretty good.

KSON is really interesting in how she has meshed so well with the cultural zeitgeist of Japanese fandom. Sometimes things just click. This isn't something that will ever be done but streamers reusing/repurposing equipment for smaller streamers and "adopting" them would be a really nice trend.

The Twitch update is retarded, particularly them pushing streamers to run more ads yet again despite all the pushback last time. It just shows how out-of-touch they are with how people enjoy streams; it's one thing if you have a preroll or midroll ad on a prerecorded video on YouTube, but it's obnoxious during streams because you're going to miss some of the action while the ad plays.

Switching to Youtube, as much as I dislike Twitch, is bad for creators the same way Mixers demise was bad. Still, twitch and netflix in flames - can't wait.

While Twitch is definitely the best platform for streaming out there from a user's perspective, it costs alot to run. Amazon wants it to be as profitable as possible since they're footing the bill. I wouldn't be surprised to see alot of Twitch streamers either making the jump to YouTube or at least taking advantage of the non-exclusivity. My personal hope is that since the user experience will be denigrating due to those pain in the ass non-skippable ads, maybe a true third challenger will arise and take the fight to both Twitch and YouTube. But it remains to be seen.
