I wonder if it's a chicken or the egg problem.

Vtubers have no obligation to address or acknowledge the fantasies or delusions of these so-called shippers and those who are waaaaay too deep into parasocial relationships. Unless the aforementioned fantasies or delusions become problematic and manifest in ways that would directly harm the environment and growth of the Vtuber and their community.

On the other hand, the community is supposed to know how to differentiate between serious relationships and fictional, kayfabe relationships. There is a clear boundary that must be made and must not be crossed. But that boundary can easily be blurred if a Vtuber overcommits to an act or is genuinely cultivating parasocial relationships with their community.

So is it a Vtuber problem? An audience problem? Or perhaps both.

I'd been sitting her since the announcement trying to figure out what the big deal is and couldn't find anything from them I recognized at a glance but then I tripped into this and I know it from memes like the thicc takodachi edits

I'd say it's just a parasocial fandom problem. It happens and exists with normal streamers as well.

Saw only half an hr, but still really funny. Favorites include the looney tunes style end, the rabbit meat dumpy, Bae's seisoness, Kronii getting mad a Morbius joke, shark slave comment, Ame's POV being on screen (cute). "do it jiggle"- Gura talking about rabbit meat

It's funny how her community and ironmouse community have beef. Getting portrayed as trying to steal ironmouses "husband" and I even believe her name is banned in ironmouses chat. Rainhoe even got to meet Connor in person this past week so I'm sure that must have sent the parasocial shippers into overdrive.

This was my introduction to Snail's House, I'd been listening to them on and off since, so I'm definitely glad to hear that an artist I actually know if is working on this. I generally avoid vtuber music since it rarely ever meshes with my tastes and I also prefer instrumental stuff over lyrical works, but if it's Snail's House music I'd be willing to give it a shot.
