Was watching Gura's member stream and my god, ive never seen a membership chat move that fast. I know she's supposed to have the most, but thats still pretty crazy to see.

Most of that didn't seem very serious from what I remember.

Yukishiro Mahiru and Asuka Hina just announced they're going to be privating and cancelling their ASMR streams temporarily because of changes in Youtube regulations, pending further deliberation from management.

Not sure exactly what the change is, but people are speculating it's because Youtube doesn't allow ASMR depicting minors and both these vtubers play JKs.

EDIT: Masaru and Onomachi Haruka also affected.

The fact that essentially a random girl that nobody even knows who she is atm can break the vtuber industry records by just debuting out of nowhere to me is the biggest sign that this medium is far from figured out or stale, while i do not care for the niji's i do recognize that they have some of the best marketing and know who to target for an audience. This sort of thing makes the whole vtuber phenomenon worth keeping an eye on.

I mean random yes but shes debutting under one of the biggest agencies so its expected up to a certain point.

Wasn't there some Ukranian vtuber (or maybe it was a vtuber mama) at the beginning of the war who called the Russians a bunch of faggots, and then a couple of her fans said that even though something bad was happening, it didn't give her an excuse to use the 'f' word? Yeah, I'm sure that her top priority at that time was making sure she was still appealing to the alphabet soup out there. Some people simply just have no ability to imagine a frame of reference outside of their own life.

The twins are streaming and doing Karaoke for their Birthday. They are still awkward at streaming but I'm guessing it has to do with the language. They got really good voices and from a musical point of view, this group as a whole is really good. Of course, Liora stands out as she seems to be the most comfortable with streaming and English is her native language.

You used to be able to get tons of holo archives off of nyaa, but it has dropped off there and I barely see anything posted anymore. Luckily you can usually get it from the discord server if needed, though people there usually take them down after only a day or so, so you have to be quick if you want it. I'll have to check out the gawrchive and see how that is too.

I think the heat stroke comment is more just about her acting loopy. But for reference in summer months the northern US and southern Canada can get a good bit warmer than I think most people would assume. sure it's no 120F death valley shit but it's not uncommon in the warmer months of the year for it to sit at 90+F (32+C) for weeks on end.

And for comparison doctors warn about taking heat stroke precautions if you're dealing with temps around like 80F (26C)

We might spend half the year frozen in winter but it definitely does get hot in the summer still.

Yes we usually have a few weeks in July/August especially that are 90-100F and really humid. It sucks horribly, especially if you don't have a/c. To balance that is the few weeks of below 10F (sometimes even below 0F) in Jan/Feb.
