I get what you are saying but to be fair personally my issue stems from lefty politics being generally accepted as "the correct answer" so when a Vtuber spouts it they risk mostly nothing and only stand to gain notoriety among the media for doing so therefore its hard for me to believe that the vtuber in question genuinely believes what they spout and are not just doing it for clout

By contrast Pippa and any other seemingly right wing Vtuber risks EVERYTHING by associating with the right (twitter cancellation doxxing media condemnation etc.) which tells me they genuinely believe its important for them to spread that message (or in Pippas case just enjoy that kind of humor which is equally respectable) which I respect a helluva lot more than a left vtuber who risks at most their prolly already minimal right wing audience and can easily recoup that with the woke crowd via free media advertisement

Bottom line if being a political Vtuber on the left publicly held as much risk as being on the Right would I wouldn't have near as much disgust with them even if I did disagree with them politically

On the other hand I also hold quite a bit of respect for lefty roommates who keep their politics out of Vtubing eg Keekihime and Monkeyism (Kiara and Nina Kosaka)
Because i respect that they aren't taking the easy way to media fame choosing instead to work for their status

In either case, the BFP squad is probably another reminder for EN to do their Japanese reps if they hope for even the slightest chance of ever featuring at main events (Power Pro tournament technically doesn't count since it's just their names being used).

Kiara promoted this remix of her latest original song. I like this remix way better than the original song. As for the original song, I like all the people who made it, but the sum of all its parts just didn't really work for me.

Certain political opinion are echoed on loudspeakers throughout schools. universities ,at work , in the free and independent press, by most western corpos, by most movies and tv-series, vidja and really any nerdy hobby. Its almost inescapable and having the same talking points repeated constantly for at least a decade now is just very tiring, brain numbing even. Is it really too much to ask for my favourite vtubers to not turn into a cloud chasing political prostitute? Can I not just listen to a karaoke stream without thinking about the "important issues" or be reminded to make a stand against "xyz"?
The answer is will eventually be no .
This is also why I would not mind a corpo vtuber with taboo political opinions- Its frankly refreshing. . She/he has to be able hide her powerlevel and not fedpost to not get nuked of youtube.
Where as those with the right opinions get promoted and boosted by Twitch/Twitter and the usual suspects as long as they are as loud and obnoxiously in the face with their politics as possible. They simply cannot do a funny dog whistle like for example .....

Hololive's Choco almost always put VOD member's only as well (considering she had issues with demonetisation before).

Lamy's chat mentioned the new ASMR rules last week after her Ghostwire stream. She said she will discuss it with management so they definitely are aware of it. I checked her last streams and 2 were members-only (one was planned as member content) and 2 were privated but the rest is still available.

Mahjong is a fun game and I personally find it quite relaxing - even though sometimes no amount of strategy can account for dire RNG.

Spoiler: Sperging about Mahjong

You are given 13 tiles, and your objective is to make 4 sets and 1 pair (generally speaking). So you can have [1-2-3], [4-5-6], [7-8-9], [4-4-4 of another suit] and then two blank white tiles, for example. If you've ever played Rummy, the playing card game, it's very similar to that where you build patterns.

Some patterns are worth more points than others, and MahjongSoul increases the odds of players drawing tiles that allow them to go for the really rare and exciting patterns, or creates scenarios where people get completely fucked over.

Each turn, everyone draws a tile from the Wall, and discards a tile in front of them as they build. The strategy comes from knowing what tiles other players are looking for based on what they're discarding, so you know what tiles are safe to discard. If you discard a tile that a person needs to win, they can declare 'Ron!', and the points their hand is worth is deducted from your Life Points and added to theirs. If their winning tile is pulled from the Wall, they declare 'Tsumo!' and the value of their hand is deducted evenly across the other three players and added to them.

Naturally, it is a game of trying to drain others of their points quickly and not giving them an opportunity to ruin your day. There are a lot more rules but that's the gist to understand what you're looking at on screen.

To answer your question more directly: there are 8 teams of 3, divided into two 'blocks' of 4. One member from each team will join a 4-player match for a total of three games per block. The total score of each member will be tallied and the top 2 teams proceed. So technically yes: you can fashion Mahjong into a team game like this, even though each match comes down to individual skill.

Kobo(HoloID) got another new audience, this time from Mandarin speaking fans.

Apparently she learnt Mandarin for 6 years, not enough for reading and conversation, but enough for her pronunciation to be decent albeit with some accent. Now people are sending her SC in Mandarin.

On the other hand, any Indonesian here can tell what is Kaela(HoloID)'s accent? Because her accent is oddly similar to Malaysian Chinese, though I know it's probably not true.

I went and looked for your earlier post about Kobo speaking Mandarin during her donation reading. She was responding to a donation congratulating her for 700k, so she can read it. Her accent is very thick; she definitely learnt it as a second language and not from childhood.

As for Kaela, I do not think she is Malaysian Chinese. (For those unfamiliar, this usually means at least two generations born and raised there, and often further back.)
