It's just one of those things. It's cool to shit on Mori. Just like how it was cool to shit on Nickelback for a while. There's always a punching bag and Mori just happens to be the one for the vtuber scene.

Does it make me a hipster then if I haven't really liked her or her music since debut? Hmmm maybe I'd only be a "true" hipster if I knew and disliked DDK pre-Calli... before she became "mainstream". (As much as vtubers are mainstream anyways.)

It's a great addition to her other outfits, being more stylish and showy. Tentatively I'd rate it just behind her OG one, if not higher. I think it works well both with or without the jacket, but I prefer the latter because of the sleeveless+gloves combo. The way the booba is superimposed over the jacket may look weird but I think it's better than when the opposite happens and the jacket flattens what's under it. And of course the hair is perfect.

She said something during the reveal about wanting something more suited for karaokes and such, and it shows, reminds me of the "cool" outfits you see in idol games. According to Pochi, the text on the right of Reine means "many customers come constantly"+"luck will improve and happiness will come", basically Reine's "JOINDA" schtick in japanese proverb form. The text on her left reads "beware of the rampaging bird".

Even if I guessed wrong with the cat ears, I feel vindicated knowing that someone else though her silhouette looked like Fubuki.

Her outfit looks good. Pretty busy, but not unusual for anime/JP game styles. But the way the jacket tucks behind her boobs is very weird, especially in the hood up position, it's just too much and odd looking. Throws perspective way off. How can it be both tucked behind her boobs but also in front of her stomach at the same time?

I didn't watch whatever TED-talk they put on about the tech, but I'm guessing it's using the LiDAR scanner from an iPad Pro which can measure distance and based on how AR works it using it's using X, Y & Z coordinates to determine if she is over someone or not, which would give the illusion of a hug. I could be completely wrong, but this is how I scan floorplans very accurately.
