Shondo update
Seems she isn't doing well at all.

They dont even fund regular MVs iirc, thats industry stanard
Indeed I think a few people got confused back during the Selen saga when there was talk about Niji being late or shit at arranging payments for stuff like that but in both Niji and holo the company just works as a middle man between the talent and the people they're contracting for work.

From what I understand from the few people that have talked about it, The company pays the talent monthly their share of all revenue streams they earn, if there's a project or other purchase the talent wants to make (like I believe Kiara used this method for buying her home 3d mocap equipment) they can have the company front the purchase/contract payment. And then when "payday" comes for the talent, the company just deducts that same amount from the talents pay. your paycheck was supposed to be 10k but you had a 5k cost project that month? Cover/Niji deduct that 5k from your pay, after they make the payment for the project on your behalf. This has during some periods resulted in Talents having a takehome paycheck of a whopping 0 dollars for the month. (I believe I've heard both Marine and Miko talk about this happening to them at some points) usually happening after particularly large projects.

Marine in particular addressed this system once when one of her listeners questioned it saying Cover should pay for her stuff and Marine actually defended it saying she would rather pay things out of pocket herself because then she gets more control over her projects. Saying that if Cover was backing their MVs and stuff than that would mean Cover would also be setting the budget for them. Whereas Marine would rather have the freedom to splurge on her big animated MVs without suits worrying about a return on investment.

my bad I didn't think that was a rule
It's fine, just don't do it again.

If Kiwi Farms can be feasibly cited as a reason a group or individual gets trolled, it delegitimizes archival because the interaction can be seen as unnatural and forced rather than a natural occurrence. It also encourages these individuals who are being observed to be more secretive or to act less openly.

In extreme examples, there are groups on the internet where trolling is organized that invariably escalates to more severe forms of harassment, including actual crimes.

It's helpful to know why this is a rule to begin with.

Ownership becomes the real interesting question then, and one that JP vtubers seem to never discuss. What happens when maybe a clip from a Marine MV gets used in an ad for some other product (esp. by another company)?
Wonder if any numberfags can compare Keeki's MV with the last one from Kiara for estimated income. The cost of this MV is probably quite a bit lower too - all the pink settings seem to be one rented set? The lights and scenic highway probably didn't cost anything.

does making racist jokes make you a schizo now

I like the G&G guys well enough. They are grifty but at least they're not doomcock.
I like them the most out of all the right wing grifters currently, but I also don't know them that well. From the little I've seen they mostly keep to their topic and don't claim to have values that they don't. I do think they whine about the culture war and do nothing about it besides consume.

This is my biggest issue with them as well on top of them becoming a echo chamber. At least Eric July did and provided some rather accidental lulz with EVS and Rekieta and Dick malding.

But to get this back on topic here's lumi playing peakaboo with a viewer's kid that was mentioned on pippa's stream tonight

It goes well with a clarinet too, but I doubt Pippa will ever muster the courage to put to use whatever musical ability she's retained out of fear of embarrassing herself. Though maybe I'm biased on Ripper sounding good as a clarinet duo piece.
