Coyote, from the Kemono Friends Vtuber channel connected to the anime, is graduating in May:

In addition to the selected impending Invader gen, Phase has had standard gen auditions open since last June. Iirc, Coyote is one of the talents that it has been implied that Pippa has tried to nepo hire in the past...

spinster hagmaxing slug is taking a break from streaming
looks like shes finally had enough and is going to go kidnap a kid to be her husband
Well, it is spring break season. Some himbo is gonna get roofied and dragged back to the bug hive.

Pretty vague. It’s crazy how common it is for corpo vtubers to just be able to walk away and seemingly not work.
She did apparently dramatically lower her cost-of-living by relocating last year, it may have been by enough to give her a fair amount of breathing room financially, especially if she had a big merch check clear or something similar.

Man, what is it with popular vtubers always taking indefinite breaks from work? I don’t understand it. If I was making bank from yapping on the internet I’d never give that up.

Now that a lot of the girls are hitting the 4 year mark in their careers (not just in Phase either), I think we're going to see a lot of health/aging/lifestyle issues start cropping up. Graduations and hiatuses are going to uptick for sure.

Hitting late 20s-late 30s, that's time to have kids if you haven't yet, and your early 30s are also where bad habits (nutrition, exercise, living environment, work/sleep hours, etc) start to take a toll that can't be ignored

Never mind being in a career that has a selection bias for people who stay inside, have physical/mental issues that discourage taking a "normal"' job.

to me the question answers itself.

"If they make that much money why do they take extended breaks"

Because they make that much money, they can afford to. Many people would kill to make the kind of money they do, just like many people would kill to have the financial security to just take a month or two off from work and fuck off to do whatever.

They aren't "giving that up" they're just in a position with a job where they are able to take that kind of time off and just come back to it.

And depending on the individuals size and like if they're with a corpo or not, it's not even like that time away is going to be without a paycheck. To use an extreme example Suisei for example is in the middle of like a 2 month break, she could be streaming and making money during that time sure, but she can also just afford to fuck off and still draw passive income from merch, music, and VOD views.

Tend to agree.
I'd even monetize myself fishin with a gopro or something if I had to.

God imagine getting paid to fish casually. Let some guy stream nigger in TTS for 50 dollars at the fish...
