General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

60 Talents is a huge amount.

Honestly though, not surprised.

Covid was still on going in 23 so everyone signed on for 24 and when the work load got way harder and pressure got stacked much more, combined with other life obligations and illness, 24/25 was going to shed loads fast.
That's also another point that gets glanced over too, this is mostly the EN side that's having the problem. I'm not on board with the "derrr dey hate EN!" train, but moreso that the EN girls probably just clearly want something else after the world settled down.
Is it purely a content/options thing, a money dispute, or issues with the company? Well we have no data for that. Sana basically vanished and does her art gig. Nimi's just doing similar stuff and as far as I've seen actively isn't all that different. Dooby seemed about the same too. What Mumei and Gura decide to do is who knows. ID is still chugging despite a few moments that looked like a first was coming while most of JP seems content strolling along.

4-5 years is a decent chunk of time in your 20s. I frankly don't find it the least bit surprising they didn't want to commit to contracts and whatever for all of it. Especially when they might feel like they know enough and can be their own bosses while doing whatever with less spotlight. I do think it's weird that "like 8 people who have been there for years leaving at once" is odd, but not the other side that losing like 2 in 5 or so years before that is ALSO an oddity. If you didn't have them filtering out over time then you could pretty reasonably assume that a fair few were going to go in a similar time period.
Could there still be more to it? Obviously. But sometimes there isn't. Without more info I'm not going to assume though.

I can't wait until either DSP starts adding fire to the fuel by laughing at Gura's Graduation, saying that he "will be here to stay forever while those sluts all have their career died" or KoreKore/Keemstar or some other dramatuber starts using Gura's graduation to dig dirt on cover.

But anyways, whatever happened in Hololive rn with 8 BIG talents leaving in a year in a company that had 0 turnover rates for 7 years is suspect and should be put to question. I've argued with tuber-tards on Discord about this and they're like "what's so suprising". 8 talents in 1 year? At this pace they won't have anything left save for like 20 people after three. They have around 60 rn combined I think.

God forbid if the Yazkuza BlackRock or the UN was behind this.
That commie ludwig already started using it. God knows what probably for attention.

(Gura always struggled with her explosive popularity even mentioning again tonight during her announcement how there were times she was unable to eat or keep food down due to the stress her popularity brought on)
I would not be surprised honestly if that is a lot of the reason for quitting. The sheer amount of stress she felt. It can also make you very ill. And even with her schedule being lax as fuck it still eventually became too much.

Exactly. If you are on yearly contracts this all checks out with things opened back up in 23 but they’d already renewed for 24 and there is a grace period built in so all the Talents don’t leave at once. Because Grad Streams would be difficult to manage.

Note that Chloe, Shion and Aqua were recent and those were JP. It's on both sides.

Every single EN graduate has mentioned issues with management/where the company is headed.
Usual suspects still pretend they don't have a management issue.
🤡
I mean, they might not. Because it is always ‘i disagree with mangement, don’t like direction company is moving’

That’s very clearly ‘management wants to do x, I want to do y’

And it all tracks with company has got super big to do mega idol stuff and a lot of the people that came on slightly before or during covid don’t really want to do that.

whats funny is two talents have hinted at real issues within cover but they still hold back their tongue.
its ex holostar talents so it could just be the stars side being awful.
I think why we never hear anything from ex hololive talents is they hire the type that would not start drama. Many talents have talked about how cover does big background checks on people to make sure they wont start shit with other talents or the corpo its self. Also cover most likely has contracts that aren't jokes like niji and many other smaller corpos.

What have they hinted at? I haven't followed Vesper and Magni after they left. The usual self-explanatory stuff or something more specific?

That’s exactly it. And Holostars EN is a mess full of scitzos. Like, way more than the Girls the boys really did not know what they were getting into.

And yeah you want people by and large that won’t stir shit. It hurts everyone and the fans usually take it the wrong way to boot.

When I try to explain to other simpers and NPCs that this is no coincidence, they try to rationalize that it is normal.

I assume that direction change is extremely damning, plus multiple are stating that they are tired af, which means that Cover is using a burn-out/crunch schedule tactic.

Even if the direction isn’t damaging the sheer workload the girls say they require would burn anyone out eventually, especially if you feel you should be doing more even if you don’t have to.

The sickly introverts are going to go first the second they can. Ina is next

The majority aren’t Mori.

I could see “disagreement with management” boiling down just to not wanting to have a slanted eye gook, no matter how benevolent, looking over your shoulder and imposing Japanese work culture. Why bother with all the bureaucracy if you can do decent enough on your own. Any of the graduates from Hololive can make a decent living with above the average wage if they want to continue vtubing and they get to do that at their own pace, with much less content restrictions.

On that note, if Gura decides to return as Senzawa I hope she doesn’t go back to her old drunk girl shtick. She’s funnier sobber and given her alleged burnout issues she’s might end up as Spoony of the vtubers. Only with less Twitter sperging.

Magni has been the one to vaguely talk about it the most and kept saying he wished he could just say what happened to them. It was one of his lando streams years ago now so its harder for me to recall.
Vesper/Randon has made jokes about it or brought up things in his more informational scripted videos.
good video you should watch all of
1:27 "even if an ex talent had some very real and very bad dirt on a company. It's probably not worth poking a sleeping lion in the end. Eventually the truth will come out."
Could be about things he has heard from many other awful small corpos

This one he pretty much talks about why he quit.
starts with why someone would get terminated brings up brand risk
What stands out is him saying "if they're smart, discretely try to get rid of you."
Vesper and Magni went missing for a long time and then it was just dropped they "graduated" with no goodbyes

These videos are clearly talking about his personal experiences within cover in a none contract breaking way.

Something else I kick myself about not archiving is a tweet from someone saying they had beers with Vesper/Randon. saying something along the lines of they talked about insane and heavy stories relating to his past work/life. Which could have been none vtuber related things. From stories he has said on streams his family is wild. he got stabbed by one after all.

Right before I posted this one /jp/vt/ janny was posted. A MTF tranny. That explains it lol. No wonder the board is in a state it is and why both managers and streamers are forced to keep up with it's schizos.
Are you so fucking retarded that you have to talk to yourself to have a conversation since we don't want to? Kill yourself faggot.

Sometimes I wonder if some of the insane convoluted schizo theory posts is actually one of the streamers venting or trying bring attention to the issues.
