General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

That's probably why she's performing at the level that she is. Is it boring? Yes, but so was classic Disney, but it had mass market appeal for a reason.

idk I think the reason was actually grabbing up prominent public domain stories and hiring talented ppl for the projects

nowadays it's just too big to fail

I know it was theorized that Nyana was going to phase already. But with the implosion of VShojo and her silence. I'm guessing that it probably, is indeed phase.
I mean, barring some major kayfabe, Pippa and Nyana more or less confirmed she's going heading for Sakana's basement.
We'll know for sure if Phase announces their new gen will premier in September or October.

>Nyana: I'm not going to miss you because my spirit will live on and I will talk to you in the spirit world.
>Pippa: In the spirit world? In the next phase of your life.

Don't forget acting also as an agent to look for those sweet brand deals, sponsorship, and gigs; and also as lawyer for finalising those contracts with brands

That's why Mythic talent has been relatively successful, they're sort of a middle ground between corpo and indie, at least for vtubers signed on with them.

I am 100% with you on this. This had been going on for YEARS from the sounds of it.
No innocent parties with the upper echelon. You'd know.
What needs to happen now is the government needs to step in and begin an investigation of what happened with the money.
This shit feels like embezzlement.

If I had to guess I think the wheels started falling off behind the scenes when Vshojo began taking money from venture capitalist firms in 2022, that money was effectively a glorified loan. Also if I'm not misremembering Vshojo wasn't making any money off donos and subs, they were purely making cash through merch and that would be a big hit to their profitability.

Her last official public stream ended with her getting hit by an isekai truck driven by a fish, if she isn't going to Phase she's a master baiter

This is true, and even that seemed to be so poorly managed that Matara had to use Bricky's merch company which most likely caused her departure. Their contracts always seemed too great to be financially viable, I remember learning that they covered therapy for talents when they signed Michi up and wondering how they can stay afloat.

Disney is known so fondly because it was on the cutting edge of animation with amazing memorable voice talent as well as music that stuck in your head. Their stories had hard hitting emotional impact that related to generally to the human experience in a way that kids can follow but also didn't alienate older audiences. And then when the cg era came out they were the front runner in that medium as well (really it was pixar but it doesnt matter).

Now 2 decades in and they're still using the same artstyle as Toy Story and their plots are often nonsesical and less universal since theyre always entrenched in hispanic or black or even muslim culturisms.

Don't think I've seen anyone mention this, but according to this there were talks of a buyout for $2 million for the entire company, so we can safely assume they were at least $2 million in debt. You know they're cooked when they're discussing buyout talks over fucking discord.

If this is true (which I strongly believe it is), there's no way in hell MowTenDoo didn't know and that it didn't ever reach his marketing department. At the risk of doxxing myself, I work in financial accounting. There is a budget for EVERYTHING, one that you are aware of especially if you are higher up. The retards on twitter going "oh hes just a hecking wholesome CMO who didn't know" are absolutely stupid or are his sweep defense. If you're a high ranking marketing executive, especially if you're one of the fucking co-founders of the company, there's NO WAY in HELL that you didn't know because it's directly tied to your budget that you basically have to be aware of at all times. Marketing isn't some "do it now, worry about costs later" bullshit, its tied directly into the budget. Which if they don't have, would explain his premature departure from the company because he could sense it was a sinking ship and his reputation would be tarnished if he stayed, which he did two months before the actual fall out today which raises my suspicions even more if they were already in talks of selling the company by last month.
nah bro what the fuck yourself.webp
This tweet is literally nothing more than a cheap attempt to distract and distance himself to salvage his reputation, while throwing his co-conspirator under the bus. If anyone falls for it, they are an absolute fool.
It's stupid to think that only Ironmouse and Gunrun only knew and not the head of fucking marketing.

Maybe I am wrong on this but would the best choice for someone like Ironmouse and the other more well off VTubers not be to now start their own agency where they can literally advertise it is owned by the talent themselves? All they need is a handful of people (marketer, merch distributor, lawyer) which it sounds like most have or are things they can outsource to third parties, everyone just agrees a cut of all their individual income gets put in a shared pool they can all view. Any new talent who are already established could choose to "buy in" to get a set amount of revenue share and if they wanted to get brand new talent off the ground, they could use the company funds to invest into new VTubers, taking an extra cut of their revenue until they are out of the red.

I had never heard of this Milky Mew but their video popped up on YouTube. Another vtuber announcing an upcoming marriage and going one further by saying they've been using a voice changer.
Heard what her normal voice sounds like and its so sad how many hags we lose to the pressure to have a high pitch anime voice. I wish more vtubers would use their natural voice because whatever fake voice they put on rarely sounds as a good as their natural voice.

I always knew vshoujo is bullshit company and they'll implode soon. But holy fuck it's imploding worse than kurosanji, the meme vtuber company. Shit is too good to be true, doesn't take cut from stream and dono, keep their ip and only make money through merch.

Turns out it's all bullshit and the company is imploding. There's a reason why the jp company did what they did. They knew vshoujo model isn't sustainable.

I also hate the fact that vshoujo is used as some sort of crusading icon for some retarded faggot. They tout vshoujo as the ideal vtuber corp and stick it to the stinky japanese.

I cannot believe all these retarded whores are not smart enough to get a lawyer with the doctors salary they make.
I doubt most make that much, even the ones in big agencies. Besides, the Vshojo girls in particular weren't even paid in full for their efforts.

HELL YEAH DOKICORP LFG

Joking aside, they could create "friend groups" like Vershion, V-Dere, or that new bong group that blue Pippa joined, but aside from that I think they'd be better off joining Mythic if they want to retain muh "Talent Freedom".

"friend groups"

Maybe get some forever friends for Danny the Panda?

But in all seriousness, I just think Vshojo will spell the end of any good will for companies in the US aside from HololiveEN. The whores thought they could fight the Nips... except they can't match the Japanese autism. At least with the Japs, you will get paid. Sure you might have to deal with cliques (niggersanjiEN) or permissions (Hololive's Nintendo problem). But it's better than being subservient to a chink with the same phenotype as Yandev who will probably rob you blind.

Glorified loan sums it up nicely. VC cash is somewhat equivalent to a subsidy in that there's no strict payback or interest (IPO or private sale is where the profit lies), but comes with a lot of private clauses relating to company growth and profit/revenue metrics. If you screw up you will very quickly be blacklisted from VC/angel investor group and find any chance of future entrepreneurship very firmly suffocated in the crib. The startup community does not give people like Gunrun second chances.

Half expect a friend group to emerge from this, it's the sort of thing that will probably smooth over Henya's transition the most given the more "formalized" connections and coordination between talent.

I sometimes watch Ember Paradox and I wonder if she uses a filter too or perhaps it's just a shitty mic.

Shiina's normal voice is so fucking good, shame she has to put on a higher-pitched one for her character. Not that I mind her higher-pitched voice though.

If you have sympathy with these types of people or are one, you're going to have an inherent disgust to this sort of behavior.
Even normal people are disgusted by this.
Infidelity is not a normal thing and a lotta people have seen it ruin families.

something about ironmouse rubs me the wrong way tbh, I think it's the way she phrases things in the most guarded and inoffensive way possible. I can't help but find that suspicious

this is apropos of nothing I just wanted to say it
There's some skeletons in the closet probably.
The company you keep says a lot about people.
