General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Dunno much about Nux, but he posted a 1+ hour vid on VS.

JUST NOW: Vshojo disbanded. They're 100% legally f**ked.

tl;dw: "I told you so!"
That Kike will just kinda talk about whatever the current thing is, he jumped on the right wing shit a few months ago, it’s nothing we don’t already know

It's definitely the same dude. His voice sounds identical:

There's no way Phase is going to take the Clio or marimari characters, but what it sounds like is that they retain ownership of the latest Vtuber model.

I know marimari got a new model right when she debuted as Phase, and I assume Clio did too. Retaining the rights to the new model - that you paid for as the Phase company - seems like a good balance between creating an incentive to stay and granting them the freedom to leave.

All the talents have to do is rollback to their previous model if they decide to bail.
So Yuri didn't have to rebrand?

That's an absolute nonissue, a counselor/consultant/advisor does not need a license.
It's a nonissue if he's advising the company internally or representing them in negotiations, but reread those last words, coming from a talent: "for any legal help we needed." If he's providing what is supposed to be qualified legal advice to the talent, who are not the company, that's a potential UPL issue.

I would also expect they'd have to delete / private or turn monetization off for all content from their time at Phase. You don't get to just keep making money off company property. Not as bad as losing the channel and having to rebrand. But losing potentially years worth of content can be brutal.

I just want to know how they convinced all these talents to join.
Was it because he was considered the "creator of twitch"? Or at least what came before it?
Because if you don't have someone else to take care of your merch & sponsorships, they're a good deal (in theory). They don't take your donations, they only take a split from the money they earn you.
If you were an indie talent, signing onto VShojo meant basically free money (in theory). They would take care of the business-side VTubers hate, while offering good services (on paper) that add great value to your work(con appearances, concerts, merch, sponsors,...(Though in actual fact they failed to provide enough of those)).
You would be foolish to refuse such an offer, if you didn't have anyone else to take care of this for you (in theory).

To the surprise of absolutely nobody lol

I keep forgetting how relatively mid melody is behind the screen, if it wasn't for her terminal TDS I'd have pegged for a right-at-home piece of trailer trash. Would've explained the prostitution (digital or otherwise)

Where does this meme that being left-wing disqualifies you from being trailer trash come from anyway? I've seen it appear elsewhere before.
The first time I consciously picked up on that was in the clip where baked Alaska gets 'keemed', there's these two dishevelled dykes in torn, baggy clothes calling him White trash, because his tts said a spicy word. When I saw it at the time, I just thought "have you two looked in a mirror lately?". But twitterfaggots and shills on 4chan have this same idea in their head.

I dunno actually, that's a good point. I guess because trailer trash equals poor/rural/hicks and whites in those demographics tend to be Republicans? Guess I've never seen those types of folks politisperg about leftist talking points or the sort. Beats me, but she sure as hell fits the trashy whore phenotype to a tee.

She's Canadian anyway, so our yankisms wouldn't apply yet
