The world changed, Holo became mainstream and thus subject to the whims of an increasingly prude Youtube AI and public opinion.
Don't be sad because it's over, be glad it even happened.

Besides, someone with access to the 3D models can and will make lewd versions. It's just a matter of time.

Also, changing topics, Reddit just had a massive protest to out a recently hired trans admin, Aimee Channelor, for censoring and deleting submissions talking about an scandal around her and her pedophile father and husband. It was a complete and massive meltdown.

I think swimsuits never happened again due to COVID and how everyone had to stay home.
Nothing stops them from having a beach episode once everyone is out of the quarantine for good. Whenever that happens. Thanks again, China.
Or does YT disapprove swimsuits now?

They are. She was some politician in the UK or some shit and her father, who was in jail for torturing and raping a 10-year-old girl in the attic while he was dressed in an adult diaper (not making this up), was her campaign manager or something. Again, while he was in prison. But when her party ditched her she blew the fucking trans dogwhistle. Like sure, that's why people are up in arms, not because of the kidnapper, torturer, raper that's helping you from prison. And then after that, her husband tweeted some pedophile fantasies on Twitter which, you guessed it, included kidnapping, torturing and raping.

But of course, she knew nothing about either what her dad was up to when she lived there, or her husband's fantasies while she lives with him. Makes perfect sense. Utter human garbage that deserves to rot.

But this is also a quite an interesting question: how will vtuber scene look like in 6 months from now? Will HoloEN2 and/or vsinger debut before that? Most likely yes, especially the singer(s). Will there be any big yabai? My bet is that at last one top talent will graduate, for one reason or another, causing a shitstorm (with a chance of some gachikoi cutting himself or maybe even committing not alive). NijiEN debut should also happen soon, but will they gather enough audience...? In any case, good luck to them. Maybe VOMS will recruit third member to fill the space after Monoe was fired...?
The problems caused by the pandemic did not magically disappear with the beginning 2021 (and in some regions are even worse than before), but even when people will start to travel more, vtubers are here to stay: there is a dedicated audience all over the world and the changes to the lifestyle run to deep now to be changed back to normal overnight.

I agree, French-Canadian vtuber (unless they can find English-speaking French vtuber...?) would be a safe bet for Cover. This or Spanish. And *maybe* Russian, as there have many fans of weeb shit, but who knows - probably not enough money there. Anime is (or was?) very popular in Italy as well, but there not enough people to validate an Italian-speaking vtuber I guess.
Oh, and why there is no HoloCN yet? Such a huge market with plenty of nice people to cater to and get money from :smug:

Jokes aside: it is exactly as you say, there are not enough fans in these countries to validate a vtuber from top agency, unless the vtuber's language is just a byproduct (for example Veibae, who probably can speak Polish). Most of teenagers in European countries can at least comprehend basic English (actually speaking and writing requires some practice, which not everyone is willing to do), so there is no real need to translate something - as simple as vtuber reacting to a video game about hunting huge-ass monsters - from English to other languages. Complex texts, multi-layered stories and so on - definitely require a competent translation, but the overall level of English should be enough to get the basic understanding of HoloEN antics.
I have seen some clippers doing subs in Spanish, Chinese and Indonesian, but none in German, Dutch, Italian nor French - are there any? I did one translated clip (for practice) in my native language and nobody gave a fuck

Also: few pages (how many already?) ago I have speculated what kind of opinion can Nool have about this thread and vtubers, and now I know - some questions are best left unanswered...

I've seen French and some middle eastern language in clips before, but couldn't give you details. I think you'd need a broad enough base of vtubers in a certain language to have some that are clearly more talented than the others though. Right now...i think Filipinos are the only ones with enough active talents outside of En and Jp.

My completely unsubstantiated predictions for the next 6 months

NijiEN will surprise everyone and do really well (like, a member will get 100k subs in the first month),
Nijiholo company wars will be imported to the west and ruin every discussion about vtubers forever,
Cover will continue to shit it's pants and make stupid management decisions,
A Hololive JP member will graduate or semi-retire,
View numbers overall will continue to plateau,
Overseas public interest vtubers will decline, less tourists and "react" type of content from normies,
Twitch will start pandering to vtubers in some lame and cringe way because YouTube won't,
Nyanners is going to get even bigger and 4chan will seethe about it

Tooting my own hunting horn about MHR being a big draw for her in particular, but Luna's gained 2k subs already during her Monster Hunter stream which is still ongoing. And she's also speaking and interacting with the English crowd a lot (which she honestly does quite often, but still). Now if only they could get Fromsoft permissions so she can relive her Dark Souls glory days.

Nice. Longsword was my solo from MHW and Dual was my solo for MHG, so that gives me some people to compare against.

I did Horns in MP though, so I’ll be curious to see if any of them switch for group play.

(Don’t play horns with friends who only use ranged weapons and don’t know how to kite properly. god damn.)
