Personally, I don't think he did a bad job. The mistakes look like things that simply didn't get fixed because he was rushed. Holo really should have had someone proofread his work, and then send it back to him before releasing it.

I would agree but this guy has a track record of fucking up the rigging. Gura (first and second), Anya, Coco (new years), all who had problems that were never fixed and Matsuri's casual outfit that seems to be fixed.

But this is still Cover's fault for not dropping the rigger after that many fuck ups. The managerial class needs to be axed, when smaller companies have tongue rigging like Koinoya Mai and indie Snuffy can have almost perfect mouth rigging.
I don't even watch the EN side, but this is a bad showing for a company that makes the software.

It's times like these where it's a good thing that Gura isn't as present on Twitter. Like, not to concernfag, but if I saw this many people super sperging after something I was really nervous/excited about, I'd get pretty bummed out, and posting anything would then make it worse since that's likely all anybody would mention.

Speaking as a Chumbud, the rigging is unnoticeable when she isn't zoomed in, but does need a whole lot of fixing especially in the face (Model 1 always makes Gura look retarded)

As for the Twitter attacks, I agree that it's counterproductive, but at the same time, you clearly know who dropped the ball on the model, and it ain't Nacho or Gura. I just hoped people were more civil about it though.

As for toxic fanbases, that's kind of unfair though; each fanbase has their toxic members, it just so happened that Gura has the largest number of members. All I'm going to say about the matter is that people wished for upgraded rigging this time, but this model's rigging is even worse. People were bound to be pissed, especially with the rigger's history in Hololive already (Anya, Coco, Casual Matsuri)

I'm not going to mention anything about "Gura being the golden goose" or "most subscribers" but all I'm going to say is, especially after the Taiwan fiasco, you'd think Cover would be more appreciative of their talents and would support them in however way they can. People have already been disappointed by Cover time and time again; this is another one of those times, but this time they just managed to piss off the bigger fanbases.

In terms of superchats? Calliope is in her own league in HoloEN, and Gura isn't even Top 10 in terms of the entire company despite having 1.2m more subs than 2nd place.

In terms of viewer retention? Pekora is top dog. Musical output? Calli. Collaborative works? Kiara, Fubuki and Coco. Art? Most of the company. Raw gaming ability? Aqua, Botan, Amelia, Towa.

Gura's strength is being naturally funny and clippable: equally as much as if not more than Miko and Pekora in some aspects. She doesn't have sponsorships right now, and for someone who is the 'Top Talent' in your eyes, she collabs even less than Ame does.

If she's somehow deserving of preferential treatment and the others 'waiting behind her', I fail to see where that is.
