graduating to chase unfulfilled dreams is common in Idol industry tho.
In the traditional idol industry, their idol phase often be seen as stepping stone to entertainment industry in general.

Disregarding any and all implications of disputes, corporate negligence, snowball effects etc that would impact PR, and just speaking from a bussiness POV Cover just lost a fairly important asset.

Aside from being a fairly good cashcow for cover, Coco clearly had a good amount of influence behind the scenes, espacially with connecting the JP and EN branches to each other, and it will be hard for them to find someone to fill that position. Perhabs one of the other JP-Girls, but there language/cultural barrier might pose an issue. One of the IDs could be a an option, but while that removes the langauge barrier to some degree (a lot of IDs speak JP, quite well and EN 99% fluent) cultural barriers still remain.
Kiara could be an option, but unless they somehow ship her off to Japan again I don't think she can fill this role.

In addition to that, Coco provided a pretty good entrance to the EN-Normiesphere via her Reddit interactions, which will be hard to replicate.

Whether this was covers shit and they'd be willing to do copyright strikes or something on independently translated clips, we all know youtube algorithms for getting vids taken down are ridiculously easy to abuse, and even if there's no corporate erasure, anyone who wanted to see Coco or vtubers in general fall will probably feel emboldened enough to make some bogus reports against them.

I'm inclined to agree Coco ain't sticking around with Cover after the 1st. Doesn't mean she's gonna up and leave Kanata in the HoloHouse. Housing in JP is horrible and I doubt Coco will leave poor Kanata to figure that out
