I'm still seeing a lot of Coco talk but has anyone brought up the OCHINCHIN shitshow that occurred today?

• The autistic Yahtzee clone where you spell funee VSHOJO words was banned by HoloPro because it's too vulgar for idols and think of the children viewers who watch the likes of Marine, Coco, Haato, Choco etc. Even though games like Outlast 1+2, RE7, and GTAV are all fair game. This is corroborated by Nene who said she tried to trick her manager into getting permission to play it but couldn't.
• Aragami Oga of Holostars decides to be based as fuck and make his own bootleg version of the game in just 4 days so he can play it on stream.
• Creator of OCHINCHIN logs in to Twitter and says he hates V-Tubers and presumably isn't happy someone bootlegged his painfully uncreative game for personal use. Receives some unwanted attention because of course he does.
• Creator then simmers down, or maybe is just being more sarcastic, and determines that he doesn't want any problems with V-Tubers. Applauds Oga for doing something against his superiors.
• Decides that to remedy this and his own outspoken tweets, he advises that no V-Tuber plays streams game anymore.

I would be surprise if that isn't what's plan next year. But until her contract with INNK is over, she not part of the Hololive, even if it's just in name only. It's just contract stuff. She's in all level but paper part of Holo 0 gen.

As for Japanese itself - it isn't hard. Kanji is a fucking pain in the ass but a lot of the struggle comes from not knowing where to start, as materials feel scarce, incomplete, or locked behind expensive paywalls. The actual grammar and sentence structuring of written Japanese is extremely rigid, at least compared to English, making the process pretty fruitful until you have to wade through kanji and kun/on readings.

I firmly believe that if you put your mind to it, you could reach Calli's level of Japanese in less than a year.

Sure as hell makes thing easier when you go from one language that uses the same alphabet as the other given that for the most part the sounds and words are easier to read. Kana is simple but Kanji is all kinds of ass. I think that has been my biggest issue so far.

Do we ever have VTuber graduation procession like Coco's? What come close to it?
Coco's graduation feels like a festival. The chain of collaborations feels like parts of a festival with the final live show as the main attraction.

Do you think this will become the norm for Hololive graduation? Or just a few members will get this treatment?

I think its part of Cover realizing that the biggest cash cow is about to leave and they have half a month to capitalize on that by letting her collab with anyone and everyone and basically just letting her have more freedom. Would be nice to see how much money came in from superchats after Coco announced her graduation.

Most likely referencing/imitating a scene in GTA.

Found translated clip that interpret it as "Nye Girl". Usually Japanese pronounce "Girl" as "Garu", but it is still make sense if they pronounce it as "Ga" or "Gar(u [silent])" to make it one syllable just like the original English word.

That sounds like rather horrible publicity given that Vei only recently joined Vshojo officially.
I'm still somewhat confused whether the originally planned 3 person collab with Kiara/Nyanners/Vei busted because of Vei getting cold feet from the backlash or cover blocking her. The information has been rather contradicting. If it's Cover I'd just expect her to not collab unless she gets over herself and makes an apology. If it's her side she's probably kicking herself seeing the numbers that pink cat got.

Vei seems like the type to blame someone else than "kick herself" for anything. If they kick Vei out, expect skeletons to come out of closets and Zen probably betting MeToo'd.

Japanese is the Dark Souls of language learning (for native speakers of Indoeuropean languages who do not know kanji/hanzi at least). And by it I mean it's not that hard, just requires more time to get used to and to rewire your brain around some concepts when compared to learning a language that is closer to your native one.
