I searched for sources saying she would/wouldn't do any collabs with Holostars and only found this reddit thread of her asking her chat if they'd be interested in a Holotalk with Roberu around 5ish months ago. Tried finding the actual clip but lost interest after a few min.

Yet another mistranslated clip case.

The clipper already fold. Apparently not a asshole with sitck up his ass like OtakMori, just idotic. Not even a native speaker of both EN and JP and just clip as hobby. Don't know a word and can't find reference for it so just put it into MTL and call it a day. Doesn't expect his horrible TL to blow up.

I really don't get Ayame. Is her popularity simply because she's cute. I mean, she's damn cute, but she also never do anything particularly innovative. The episode of HoloGra she appear in almost double the views of other episode, even Coco's last appearance (which strange enough have normal amount of views). Can someone explain Ayame pull beside Ayame cute? Ayame cute.

I think her fans just goes all in with Ayame every time she stream since they don't know when she will take another break. Basically for her fans every stream is a special stream. Well other than that its the usual Ayame cute. Some fans love rare stuff.

Gura achieving 3M subscribers is quite a feat on it's own but if you put into perspective how rampant her growth has been it becomes clear this might be a phenomena.

Some other interesting facts you can spot with this graph is Ayame raking up subscribers at the same speed (or faster!) than her peers who are streaming daily. Note that Ayame hasn't streamed in more than a month.

IHMO Ayame could easily compete with Pekora in terms of numbers and popularity if she wanted/was able. No idea about her health and the rumors about her having a more busy private life. Until we get some evidence it's just rrats.
She's got incredible charm and ever holomembers are dazed by her. It's something hard to quantify or describe but it's clearly what you need to become really popular.

Edit: Obviously all holos profit from fans that sub to all/most holo talent because they love the brand but here's Shion who stopped streaming, as well, in comparison.

Honestly i don't think Ayame can easily compete with pekora. If kaichou in her last month didn't beat Pekora then i highly doubt ayame can.

Shion had health problem and need a break while Ayame just finish moving out of her rented house and currently stay in the Hololive office waiting for her new place finishing set up (technically our resident Oni gamer waifu is homeless atm).

That might have something to do with it, but I think people started calling them that after Kiara collabed with Nyanners, and Calli with gigguk on the shadowverse thing. Some nice fans treated that like it was the apocalypse and gave up on those two or something, lol.

It's from hlgg on 4chan, both Mori and Kiara have antis that started pushing a rrat that Ina Ame and Gura is the the "true" HoloEN due to all being located in North America, this started back around the time the three of them had a SSBU collaboration and the term has stuck around since.

If I am correct in my internet lingo I believe it stands for "English Only Peasants" but both work and you was essentially right from the get go anyway.
