Someone posted this on /vt/ and I too think this is going a little too far.

Big dislike from me, I think we need less GFE shit (or whatever it is) in vtuber world. Yes, there is parasocial aspect to this type of entertainment, but this is taking it way too far. Not to mention that anyone paying that much for a relatively insignificant service is probably a deranged individual you DON'T want to engage with for your own fucking safety. Hopefully these girls will realize that simpbucks are not worth it (assuming this screen isn't fake of course).

Why pay 500 bucks for fucking voice packs when that can easily get you 3 low-mid quality sessions with a prostitute. The people who pay for this shit deserve to be scammed.

Pretty much this - if someone is so desperate for an illusion of connection with other human being, it's probably better to hire a good escort. It is almost equally pathetic, but will cost less money and you will get some real action and if you are lucky, some interesting conversations (if you haven't taught a hired prostitute to count in Japanese from 1 to 10 you know SHIT about dedication in language learning).

the changing season took a toll on her health

I spend a big portion of the day in air-conditioned office. It didn't take long to catch an annoying cold due to big temperature difference between the office and the outside, so maybe it's only this for Marine and not a (semi)permanent problem.

I find funny that our thread has gotten large enough to be named among the more mainstream sites.

It's definitely interesting - there are maybe 20 people at any given time (or less) sharing clips and opinions, that's it. We are not insiders, our posts are not masterpieces of English literature, we are biased and can be baited easily. It's probably the number of lurkers - if there is something interesting, it will probably get mentioned here and this thread can be a functional vtubers news aggregate. I think the number of clicks is the reason why Josh has warmed up to this thread (I think): he waited with changes to Kiwi Farms till Coco's graduation stream ended, he even mentioned us in his statement about that emulator guy offing himself; I interpreted it more as a "look how welcoming and tolerant we are, even retarded children picking up dog poo from the ground can find their place here on Kiwi Farms" though (that's the most acceptance I have ever received whenever I was stupid enough to reveal my powerlevel outside groups of interest).
This, or this thread is positioned very well in google search.

Also, I want to support IRyS with my huge donations:

What did that even end up being? I watched a bit of the press conference, but couldn't telll what it is.
Heard it's a project by an actual TV station. A website/social media of sort that introducing stuff about Vtuber. Will have the TV boardcast starting next week(?) with Suisei and Shien in the first episode.
...she can cut the cost making music by 90% if she want. all she need is hire artist to make the artwork...
Not to mention her connection. It's much more important than expected. You think if you have money, the rest will be easy enough. But knowing the right people can speed up the process by a fuck ton, and make it easier for them to commit to it. Callie sit in a huge pile of artist with proven career record. Hell, she even ask her old pal A.O. to do a song for her. No wonder she can push out much more musical product compared to others. Not to mention that she outright said she enjoy being in Hololive the most when she get to sing or make song, not when streaming game.

Is people really bitching about IRyS singing in japanese? did people forgot that since her debut until that stream she only singed once and that stream was more to showcase her abilities as a vsinger? Cover took the wise decision of making her sing in Japanese with songs they have permits to keep the stream archive up and say "look this is how good our new vsinger is" instead of making her sing english songs, make the stream private and newcomers will just only see her playing games, talking and her debut singing
Well, there are definitely some. Not many, but some did. As I said before, the most probable reasons are because they're idiots/ignorant about music industry, nitpicky, or just hated japanese language/song. Although I just realized perhaps there's another probable reason, people hated IRyS because she's the "talented new kid". Either people felt jealous of her, or they're scared she would steal the thunder of their oshi
Nene : dead kensetsu. Building her own castle, build mesa road.
Can confirm about Nene, she said that she wanted to finish the mesa road, admitting that the construction has been quite slow. She said she wanted to finish it so more people, especially new members, could use it
I kept asking myself, where I heard about Vyond before that VTuber event?

Then I realized that as it turns out it's the new name for GoAnimate. :story:

Imagine GoAnimate VTubers :stress:.

Oh... it's NihonTele, I see I see, so its most likely the Japanese mainstream media has realized that VTubers is a market opportunity. A bit too late honestly, since the market is pretty much already saturated. I'm still on the opinion that the ES market is still ripe for the taking though. Coco's HoloES idea is a big missed opportunity

Yagoo Pizzeria in future?

So I guess Marine really doesn't want to take a break but have to becoz of her throat. But she still gonna use social media or doing recorded contents from the looks of it.

It's probably just resetting the resource servers, hence why Botan was teasing Nene. Or replacing the old resource server with portal connecting to EN.

If they want to move to a fresh world, they will probably do it when 1.18 is released because of the new world generation. Anyone who has seen the 1.18 experimental snapshot would know what I'm talking about(it's very interesting and fresh to see the new experimental terrain generation Mojang implemented).
ShabbySubz did a video compilation of Marine's saga with her throat here, with clips from her July5th and 10th stream. Figured it's worth a post:

TLDW: Don't worry, she's taking a break because management has finally put their foot down. She might stream here and there but if she does, it's because management's given an OK.

Since she's reiterated not too worry too much, we can take it easy now. Let's just take this as a well deserved break for her.

Would be great if people didn't mention this faggot every page. Last time I check you idiots are the only ones promoting his shit by constantly talking about how much you hate him. Let it fade into obscurity and you wont have to care.

you're being awfully autistic over something you supposedly don't care about otherwise. it's not mentioned anywhere that she must sing in japanese or english, namirin can perfectly sing in any languages she pleases. you're not her manager to dictate what she can and can't do

give her a moment to breathe, it's barely been a week. your pessimism is nauseating
Agreed. I get it that he wants her to sing in english as technically she is EN's Singer but at the same time she is working for Hololive. Until they get good connection to actual artists who write/create english songs, I doubt you will see any english songs come out from her unless she produces them.

Give her 6 months and she will probably come out with a few but don't expect her to come out with any english songs anytime soon.

I don't think this is relevant for VSinger
It is related and relevant. If she would produce the songs herself it wouldn't be a problem but currently, they rely on external artists to do most of the heavy lifting whereas Callie does most of the work herself. At most she uses a track created by someone else and she commissions the main art. She does the lyrics, mixing, and video editing.

I know I'm late but I wanted since Marine was brought up because of voice issues (hope she gets well soon) I wanted to say a couple things about the Marine butt talk.
1. From the videos and what I saw here I think Marine really needs to get laid, lol
2. The Holomems sure do love her ass. I don't think it's just yuri-bait either.

3. I agree with Eddie
The whole Kanata vibrator thing was interesting and I doubt Kanata would make that up given how she seems to be kinda autistic and just says shit without stopping to think if she should say it or not. Something interesting though is that why didn't Marine get it herself? Doesn't she live by herself or does she still live with her family and didn't want her mail to be randomly opened by a family member? Did she talk about possibly wanting one but not being sure and Kanata being the chad she is just decided to get her one?

As for her ass. Japanese girls for the most part have 0 ass (Hank Hill ass). Guessing that she just has wide hips and given how little exercise she does a large amount of fat has gathered there.

rrat:
the reason why Marine's throat has been so sore lately is because Coco has been shoving her dragon cock down her throat.

Just to be really clear in case anyone has not said it or someone missed it. No. No one has threatened this dude with physical violence. We are not the autistic illuminati or some enforcers of autistic judgement.

I think this probably the most free area to discuss v-tubers that is public. When every other site has to tiptoe around and be worried it can feel like a breath of fresh air to be able to or even just lurk where people are able to say what they want.

It turns out I'm a retard and DokiBird's FPS pedigree is right in her bio.

'APEX Legends Top 500 x2, Overwatch Top 500 x8'. I also checked out her Reddit (u/DokiBird) and all she's done aside from post a Gura animation to the Hololive subreddit is talk about professional Overwatch players and teams, saying she knows (and presumably plays with) some personally.

Not gonna lie fellas but the idea that we'll have an english-speaking V-tuber that's fucking cracked out her mind at FPS games feels so much too good to be true that the more I post, the more I'm convincing myself it can't be her. The V-Tuber Gods surely cannot grant us a V-Tuber who speaks English and is actually good at APEX. It doesn't work like that. We are forever blighted with the addicts who are hard-stuck in Gold.

Edit: Providing clips from her Twitter of her playing APEX.

Ahh, so it's likely not as colossal as an American would expect. I see
sad
Still curious

It's still on the description of Ayane Hylo's debut stream (Archive) though I can't find it anywhere on Amaris Yuri's channel. Maybe she already realized both how bad it looks, and how dangerous it could wind up being. Kaneko Lumi from CyberLive also did her debut and has donation rewards up to $400 (Archive,) though avoided the parasocial fake romance angle at least.

Honestly, not liking this company's vibe, assuming they're the ones pushing this. Asking for hundreds of dollars in your debut description, when you're smaller than a mountain of VTuber indies that don't even get a mention normally in threads like this, it's just not a good look.

This I can understand - this is still a lot of money (for most people), but at least it is related to the stream (maybe besides that thank-you card).

You never get a second chance to make a good first impression - and I agree, CyberLive seems kinda scummy right now, Japanese-porn-industry levels of scummy.

As much as I'm inclined to agree, I do have to wonder how much of it is a result of needing some kind of unique 'pull' that sets them apart.

Like, the gaming, shit-talking, singing, meeting aspects of being a V-Tuber are practically monopolised by Hololive, Nijisanji, VSPO and VSHOJO. VOMS only have Pikamee's occasional viral clip to their name as Tomoshika largely flies under the radar, and the likes of Axel-V, SugarLyric, 774, Tsunderia cannot get a word in now that the market is the way it is.

So I imagine the philosophy for companies now will be 'How do we turn a profit when we enter an oversaturated market?' and the individual answers are likely to be filled with blunders.

Do I think this is a good look for CL? No. Do I think they're scummy if they're forcing this? Yes. But I also think that if CL dial this one back it can be forgiven, because we're probably going to see a lot more of these wild, precarious 'ideas' as new companies vie for their slice of the cake.

I'd like CyberLive to be successful by their own metrics whilst keeping the members safe. It's just a case of not knowing what those metrics are and if they're hitting them.
