Grooming isn't new to Vtubing, those sick septic-tank scum have done or tried to do it to normal streamers/fans, child and adult celebrities, it even happens in the general population. Shit even back during royal king's and the like, it wasn't unheard of some young girl being groomed for her new husband. It's one of the many fucked up things humans do to other humans, cause we're a pretty fucked up species, well most of nature is fucked up, so maybe it is consistent.

Is anyone else creeped out by the whole ASMR thing? It seems to simulate an uncomfortable level of intimacy.
I guess it's because I think of vtubers as professional entertainers, roughly in the same category as TV show hosts. So when I see one I respect like Calli doing an ASMR stream it feels... wrong. Sort of like if Alex Trebek had a segment where he dimmed the lights and said, "Come here sweetie, let me take care of you..."
