@ZMOT Yeah, I'm sure Pippa never intended to broach serious issues when she started the Chris-chan stream. It's just that Tenma's reaction was something of a reality-check for Pippa and the rest of us. We've been hearing about Chris-chan for years now, but for Tenma, seeing it all laid out at once must have been horrifying. She could see the tragedy of the situation more clearly than we could because of our familiarity with it and our expectation that anything involving Chris-chan would be fucked up.

Tenma could have played along with the joke and made fun of Chris-chan like everyone else, playing up her reactions for the sake of entertainment, but instead she chose to draw attention to the seriousness of the situation, which I think shows admirable integrity.
don't think she planned to either, but tbh that's usually the normie reaction when you confront them with "funny" cringe from the depths of the internet, just had that last week when a mate irl thought it was a good idea to namedrop chris' deed in front of a group and then tried to explain it.
it's worse when you're not the type for it and like me don't really care about it in the first place (so not funny either). of course there's a german word for it (which apparently was the word of the year 2010 in austria, to give you a sense of the scale), in english according to wikipedia it's called

Vicarious shame: refers to the experience of shame on behalf of another person. Individuals vary in their tendency to experience vicarious shame, which is related to neuroticism and to the tendency to experience personal shame. Extremely shame-prone people might even experience vicarious shame even to an increased degree, in other words: shame on behalf of another person who is already feeling shame on behalf of a third party (or possibly on behalf of the individual proper).

imo not the best description but you get the drift. that's why mii-chan's reaction didn't surprise me at all and I halfway expected for the whole thing to make that turn. trying to joke about it when you don't feel it would've been pretty obvious and cringe on it's own, her reaction was just natural.

now, as a palate cleanser an elite shrine maiden clapping without moving her hands (at 0:57), getting loud and showing some sideboob:

she must be a very likeable person irl
genki, gloriously chaotic and giving no fucks, what's there not to like.

Given my nickname, I might or might not get extra hate for saying this. But I had very high hopes for kson, and as much as it hurt to let Coco go I kind of figured that she might of had some sort of greater picture in mind that I wholeheartedly supported. But now that we're a month and a half later I'm going to be entirely honest and say that I'm a bit disappointed in what we've been offered so far. Granted, I know that we still don't have Daikou v.3.0. But considering that apparently the main thing we're missing out of with that are collaborations, I'm a bit iffy on whether or not that is going to make it all worth it.

And also, please don't quote me with shit I literally was the first person to say on this thread, I know. I can still have a different opinion with that information.
you're not alone, said pretty much the same back then, think it was along the lines of what that "freedom to do whatever" is worth when she's missing the rest of hololive, especially since a lot of people wanted to blame cover.
don't get me wrong she'll always be who she is but collabs and indirectly working with the others was a huge part of that and was to a certain degree what made her so popular. others might have more rose-tinted goggles or hope, but it's pretty much what I expected (no hate or claiming she "needs" hololive or whatever, she'll always be our kaichou, just being aware that it won't be the same and what's changed).

sure, she can still collab, but with indies there's still the... let's say "cohesion" and recognition missing you automatically get from hololive. getting into melody memes only works for people that watch melody enough for example, same for others (edit: niji suffers a bit from the same issue). she could built up her own loose group to get back into that state, but that takes time.

TLDR: things change, everybody has to decide for themselves if it's better or worse.

You can get a grand elemental scheme out of Myth, with the opposing poles of Death and Rebirth, Knowledge Found and Knowledge Occulted, bound together by the eternal unifying force of Shark.

There's a touch of the same grandness about Gura as well. She's an ancient leviathan from Atlantis, which is a story from Plato. So we have the philosophical connection, the classical civilization connection, and the Jungian connection of deep sea abyss as a symbol for the subconscious.

SAVE IT SAVE IT SAVE IT SAVE IT SAVE IT THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET.
Anon's got our backs.

Farthest left is Nature, middle is Chaos, second from right is Time. At first, I kept going back and forth on which one of the remaining two is Space, and which one is Civilization. But then I realized something.
You probably figured out that each of the colored trails following these weird diamond things represents one of the five girls, reinforced by this scene:

Okay, so one of them is one of them is white, and the other is blue - but which one is which?
Right before the scene in the first image of this post, there's a shot of the five colored trails all in a row going up, then heading back down, which leads into the next shot of the silhouettes coming down from the top of the screen - and if we compare those two shots next to each other...

Since blue lines up with the figure most likely representing Time, that means that the second from the left has to be Space, since that's where the white trail ends up. (the green trail lines up nicely with the one most likely to be nature)
So, to recap, from left to right - Nature, Space, Chaos, Time, Civilization.

Maybe Gura as the Witness who watches the conflicts play out across time?

If anyone knows a way for youtube-dl or some other utility can download a stream from the start, I'd love to know. So far, I haven't found a way to do it if the stream is in going, even if you can go back to the start on the YouTube page.
Not doable. If you download a stream it can get 30s from before you started. The only other way is to get it just as it finishes before the streamer takes it down. As long as you start downloading it before they killed it you can get the whole thing.

Hey, guys? Some dude named Alex asked our Discord to tell you to use ytarchive cause it makes him sad or whatever.

WinX YouTube Downloader is good for VODs, but for live streams you have to be there at the start to press record.
This is my first time trying to record on VLC. How to 1. How to 2.
I won't know how it turns out until the stream's done.

So, with the new reveals I'm not sure how to feel about it atm. It kinda feels too soon. Irys just debuted last month so it feels a tad weird to add five new members already.

It's also kinda underwhelming but this is obviously because they were just silhouettes. I'm eager to see how gen 2 will work out. I will say, after enjoying Pippa and now Tenma streams (I finally watched one today) I don't know if "chaos" is the best subject for Hololive to cover. Haachama is chaotic, she had to dial it back. Coco was chaotic, she was constantly accused of planning shit and eventually quit to do whatever she wants. I'm not sure how chaotic Hololive talent can be.

ytarchive will grab youtube streams from the start, even if they are already live.
