the company's most proficient polyglot (Kiara)
In varying amounts and depending on who she's streaming with. 3. English, Japanese, and Indonesian. Which given those are Hololive's 3 target audiences I would say is about the best selection you could have to be able to speak, any others beyond those are about on the level of a personality quirk "oh neat you can speak Korean" But with little use within hololive itself.Edit: Also, I have to ask. From the five languages that Iofi speaks, in how many does she stream in?
No, because Mori's japanese isn't nearly on the necessary level for that.

I remember Kiara responding to some superchat where she said that singing Rammstein songs is not something she would like to do, which is understandable. But if she ever does, the only song she needs to sing is "Bück Dich" with this video in the background, together with an image of terrified Calli next to it.Or alternatively, if Kiara is feeling cheeky and up to the challenge
Here the result, Hakos and her Mama Mika liked it:Iofi's stream is a going to be a "comfy" drawing/doodling and chatting colab stream on her channel, with Ina and Nene. It starts in about 50mins, It'll probably be in Japanese but Holodex.net has a good default setup that can show translations and other "important" comments. Is my go to for Japanese streams, and multi stream colabs and you can Multiview, that and it has a better layout if you care about having chat on screen.
Edit: Stream ended after 2:20hrs.
Edit: Guess the ID girls shouldn't have talked about creating and joining minecraft servers with the En girls, they are starting to get attacked by the En curse.
Stream moment: They're drawing chibi En Gen 2. Now it includes puns, also Cute Nene english jokes. Nene also tried to copy Ina in saying the "Peter Piper" tongue twister, I really hope it gets clipped.
nah the Redstone means diamonds are near is a false belief that's been around for years and years now.Didnt Belmond Banderas start the cult?
Its the fact she posted the fanart less than 10 minutes after her reveal. And it is less than 10 because she posted it at 8:10 pm CT, and the premier was at 8 with a 2 minute countdown. In fact you could probably say she posted it in less than 7 minutes.

Intrigued by this but curious how they pinned down an artist if it is uncredited.

I just keep seeing "surprised pikachu face" with the blue orbs as eyes.

Okay, tangent here. But I'm struggling to remember. Does anyone else remember from a few months ago, someone reposted a 4chan post claiming that a friend got headhunted by Cover specifically because they were a Japanese and English speaking artist, and they wanted to fill the ranks in Gen 2 there before recruiting the rest of the talent? If they manage to get her to join props to Cover they landed a big one. They won't have problem with merch art ever again between Nagu and Namie.
Pentalingual Iofi would like you to take that back.
Personally I dont think Kiara's specialty is her ability to speak multiple languages, I think it is her networking ability. She is one of the few extroverts in HoloEN and has that idol background to know how the business works. Kiara uses this both to promote other HoloMems with her HoloTalk series but also to pull in a lot of sponsorship deals and outside collabs. She is the smallest EN1 channel but, and this is just off observation if somebody wants to run numbers feel free, she pulls more of those than the other HoloEN members by a fair bit and will pull other members in to them to boost them too.
First of all, Germany's English education is horrible. They have a 56% English speaking population with 80 million eligible. In varying amounts and depending on who she's streaming with. 3. The thing with languages like German is that a massive portion of Germany, especially the younger generation. Can just speak English. so it's a bit less effective by default to reach into a new market when English already hits a lot of it. In my experience over the years Germans have generally been the most fluent ESL folks I've known from Europe, possibly anywhere. It's fairly impressive though understandable because English and German grammar overlaps a ton and where differences exist English is usually just simpler (looking at you verb conjugation) so a lot of it just comes down to vocabulary and pronunciation.

Necessary level for.......? It's not really ever held her back from anything. Certainly Kiara is better at Japanese than her but Calli's has been more than enough to collab and work with her JP fans and fellow livers.
You'd have to be quite dense to try to act as though she shouldn't be treated as bilingual.
I'll point out that French, Russian, Spanish and German are in the position to require translations precisely because they are big market languages. It's somewhat reinforced by all of these being in the position to dub imported TV shows while Scandinavia and the Netherlands will for the most part air subtitled versions.First of all, Germany's English education is horrible. They have a 56% English speaking population with 80 million eligible.
Many young people do NOT speak English at a conversational level. They have dedicated German servers for a reason, with dedicated German support. It's the same thing for French and Spanish.
Within video game culture, there's Germans content creators who enjoy great success for a reason. Claiming Germany is the most fluent ESL when nations such as Netherlands and Scandinavian nations exist, with a higher English speaking population than even Canada, is talking based on feelycraft.
You may meet people from my shitty continent, but you do not live on it. Not to mention, Germany isn't even the only language to speak German here. German has 95 million native speakers and about 85 million L2 speakers. It's the official language of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With Belgium having it the co-official language.
Does this subtract from your point, however? No. It does not. Indonesia has a population of 270 million with aprox 23% English speakers. Meaning that the exclusively-Indonesian market is larger than the exclusively-German. But do not sit here and write that Germany has a high ESL population while I have to hire German translators for manuals because they can't fucking read English, which is something only necessary for French, Russian, German and Spanish on this continent.
My brain turned to mush, I thought I was replying to something related to Kronii/Katzchen.Its the fact she posted the fanart less than 10 minutes after her reveal. almost like I started the sentence with "in my experience" or something and wasn't saying it statistically was or wasn't anything. Guess I've just had good luck with the Germans I've known over the years or bad luck with the other Europeans.is talking based on feelycraft.
It really hasn't slowed her up no, Kiara helped out in that early stream yep but it's by on means necessary she did a stream of the same format alongside Rikka as well without Kiara. and as for the korone stream? what of it?Secondly, Calli's lackluster Japanese has held her back.
I'm not arguing the opposite In fact in the message you quoted I said Kiara's Japanese was better than Callis but that was ultimately never the point to start with as if you look into the discussion that was being had it was about someone saying Kiara was their "most profitable polyglot" which is irrelevant to skill level. Its clear beyond any shadow of a doubt that Kiara is a fluent speaker of Japanese while Calli isn't. I do not understand why you'd even consider to argue the opposite.
