I'll apologize in advance for my autism, I should have just closed the site and stuck with watching Korone.
Sure that's your perception, and while sometimes you're more neutral, this is one of your "Cover/Hololive" is shit posts. As I would say many of the girls don't really keyfabe as anything more than "side content" like any vtuber, Niji, small company or indie. Most of the girls aren't selling themselves as idol "idols", (Unless you actually mean they're parasocial bating) and use the "idol" word as a joke as most of them aren't and don't want to be considered "idols", but how do you shift something that's so ingrained. There are also more members who would colab with Holostars if not for the "Hololive are idols" garbage the community placed on them, I don't care how much Cover pushed the "idol" idea, It's another one of those fucking annoying japanese cultural things, I hate with a passion.
Holostars haven't been forgotten or ignored, just like everyone in the company they all get the same treatment, it just doesn't help anyone who doesn't have the numbers to stand out. There are a number of members who try to give extra help and colab. But there are lots of members who can't without having a toxic fall out from their individual communities, and when most of them are too scared to take a few days off for serious medical issues worried people will leave, they're not going to rock the boat by colab with "men".
Them removing the "japanese cultural" stuff for the EN branch probably just comes down to the fact, it's not a north america/europe cultural thing, and Gen 1 was an experiment and so they mixed in things that worked for the JP branch, which they no longer feel is necessary and possibly at this point even think is a detriment to their overseas growth/expansion.
Your rrat. Is that JP management or members, because except on a few occasions (Which was only partial related to EN) the JP members seem as interested and excited about the EN girls as they are of the JP girls.
Gura's chat having a melt down from their perceived slight in the amongus colab, is a big reason Gura didn't colab outside of Gen mates for so long and also probably her lack of interaction on twitter and in chat. Even though she's up their in terms of introvert, she really wants to colab with her sempai from the JP branch and seems to finally be feeling up to trying. Gura is kind of hands off with her chat, she'll tease and poke fun of and has banned people in the past, though if they were just bots/spammers or retards I don't remember anymore, but the complication with her chat is partial she wasn't a full time streamer so her expience is limited before joining unlike Ame and how do you keep 14-25k people under control without turning your chat into north korea with a team of mods.
Plus I know she had a lot of people from her shit posting past, but fuck me a lot of them are toxic pieces of shit, similar to what Ame had to deal with. So her community is a mess, though will probably get better over time, with her current content and some pushing from mods.

Well this was a waste of fucking time, I don't know why I'm bother to argue about any of this shit, as none of us know what the fucking retards who actual control Cover are thinking or doing. Yagoo and A-chan are just doing the best they can with what they're told is the direction the company is going in, or it's focus. All we're doing is shitting out ill-informed diarrhea all over the place like we know anything.
Edit: will just add I don't mean any ill @Scuttle , I've liked your posts about Niji as I don't get to check them out much.
Sigh Lastly: Colabs as a whole are tricky, we don't know what kind of vetting or whatever management does before okaying one, but you also have schedules which vary, Mori has so much going on behind the scenes there is no way of telling who caused it to take so long, or even if she had been trying for long. Even organizing colabs with other members can be a nightmare because of schedules. Would it be nice if these outside colabs could happen more often more quickly, sure. But again we have no real info on who they want to colab with, how long it takes or why it takes as much time as it does.
He doesn't need to: the girls refer to themselves as Idols in his stead. I've even heard most-if-not-all of the HoloMyth girls refer to themselves as such, so it's clear they weren't told that they'd be 'the same - but different'. Council haven't referred to themselves as Idols, which is probably why Hakos got away with instantly announcing that she's a massive HoloStars simp, but it's less to do with Cover clearing up misunderstandings and moreso them trying to change course now that they want to have their cake and eat it.
The fact remains that you don't make an all-female group of 50+ fucking members, all waist deep in kayfabe, if they weren't trying to sell themselves as Idols. Why they want to move away from that in EN is simply because the West care more about the entertainers, and have been the most vocal about letting HoloStars get more scraps of Hololive's lions' share.
The problem is that idol culture' is so deeply-engrained in Cover's business that just suddenly removing that label from one of your branches feels so forced and unnatural that it feels pointless to even try. The fans aren't going to treat them differently and I doubt they even want to. If Cover wanted to market them as non-idols they should have started with EN1, not their fucking V-Singer.
My completely unsubstantiated rrat is that the JP branch have been annoyed that their branch isn't the most popular in the company and want to strip the EN girls of their 'Idol Status' so at least they can just be considered a separate thing.

Correct me if I've wrong, but I don't think I've ever seen her really TRY to tard wrangle her chat. I've seen Ame tear into the TeaMates tons of times, and not afraid to time/ban people. But in all of the times I've seen Sharky stream, I don't think I've seen her crack down at all. Especially after shit like that Among Us collab where they harrassed Iofi.
