General GunTuber thread

While i am personally convinced, you will still likely have to correspond with @Null to confirm your identity, regardless of the video posted. The exceptional nature of the individuals and their actions discussed in the forum ascertains more rigorous verification than in other places, to a degree. Although you are not perhaps the exact personality anticipated to make an appearance on this very thread, i do not think you are unwelcome either. I personally find this somewhat unconventional marketing amusing.

I hope you enjoy your stay.

I really don't think it's neccessary to start dragging in Null and the Mods, everybody on this thread seems happy that @SinistralRifleman is who he says he is.

My understanding is the whole verification process is mainly for lolcow's that want to rage in their thread, which isn't the case here.

I think we should just welcome Sinistral as yet another former goon that fell victim to SA's jannies.

So @SinistralRifleman what do you hope to accomplish by posting here? Was our talk of takedown pins really what summoned you? Do you think you'll change everyone's opinion of Karl? Are you just defending your product?
Looks to me he just doesn't like people being "misinformed" about his product.

Fine by me. So long as things are civil, I'm interested in seeing things from the point of view of someone in the industry.

I guess I could get that but the internet is a big place and KF is pretty niche and this thread only consists of like 10 people. Also that would be more appropriate in the mega rad gun thread too.

If you don’t like the product or don’t believe it’s for you, that’s fine. Incorrect information being perpetuated is what I have a problem with. Believe it or not things I see posted here get perpetuated elsewhere with this board being the point of origin. Being transparent and accessible has worked well for all the brands I’ve served over the years.

I don’t expect to change anyone’s mind about Karl or his politics. I argue with him about them privately regularly. I publicly debated Deviant on Arfkom. You’re free to dislike him or his politics, but at least try to be accurate about it. Like someone said he’s been banned from ranges in Arizona…never happened. And the range that he got into an e-battle with last year recently invited him back to attend an event there and it was fine.

I don't think the posters here actually hate Karl. It's more a split between former fans that are frustrated by his current content, and those that think he's funny.

are you saying with certainty that an internet gossip board, with two large threads on guns, and 3-4 threads on some of the people involved, are the point of origin for the internet's misinformation for your product over all other forums and videos online? over lightfighter, m4carbine, snipershide, thehighroad, akfiles (rip), falfiles (rip), glocktalk, hkpro, facebook, youtube guntuber community, arfcom, survivalistboards, full30 (also rip, basically), subguns, S&W forums, sturmgewher, coltforum, firearmstalk, nwfirearms, gunboards, the entirety of reddit, calguns, 4chan, lesser chans, and clone chans, and however many smaller boards out there?

what, exactly, are the things posted here that are promulgated throughout the entire internet that have such far reach that you're here on your own time to Correct the Record™?

I find it kind of hard to believe that like a dozen or so autistics shit talking. YouTubers is super influencial.

Probably the half-assed speculation about KP-15 production based on KE Arms photos, screencaps/rumors from elsewhere, and reposting pictures from reddit.

I'm still not convinced his appearance isn't the result of googling himself.
to be completely fair, i have google alerts and various other tools to make sure myself and my business (which is attached to me through dozens of ways) are tracked in case i need to take some sort of action. that's pretty normal for a relatively volatile (and according to banks "high risk") business model. i'm willing to give a pass for that in the same way i could give a pass to a popular youtuber or real estate agent. their name is fundamentally attached to their business and livelihood in a way that many people will not experience. even with a Fictitious Business Name (doing business as, an alias, et c) it's still pretty searchable for small businesses that are sole proprietor.

A much better explanation than the half dozen of us reaching our sowing our tentacles of misinformation so far and wide that it caught his attention.

@SinistralRifleman
You've messaged one of the mods and/or @Null to get verified, correct?

Besides the general interest in WWSD, we have several members with a background in plastics & molding, and any information on new technology & processes is welcome.

I emailed him yesterday at the address listed in his profile.

I’ll answer any specific product questions you have.

You are correct. I also have customers contact me and ask me about things they’ve seen on various message boards. Depending on what’s being said I may try to address it in different ways. Sometimes that means updating FAQs, making a video, or directly engaging. There’s a lot more people reading any of these forums, pages, or reddits than actually posting on them.

biggest thing that worked for my customers (and this is applicable to any customer facing business) is lifestyle photos with a side bar showing call outs to features of the product and how that product will enhance their lifestyle, profession, or hobby. it also answers visually a lot of stuff like "what is the length of pull" or "what's the color of the material under certain light" or "does this war belt make me look fat".

your site is fast, functional, and to the point, however photos of actual people shooting (not auto play full screen vids, but just something in a little gallery) and photos of your products with recommended accessories can really sell it better than a blank white background (or your steel assembly table) with the product front and center. by all means keep the sterile photos, maybe with some measurements or call outs for unique features to sell it and some accessories alongside to plant that seed of wanting your products.

but let's be real: individually taking your time to create an account and argue with randoms online is pretty borderline. if we're wrong, we're wrong, your ego and brand aren't hurt by this forum individually and you're better off addressing things elsewhere with greater attention and engagement. try winning over Karl's socialist friends or something or make some gucci slick videos to show off the brand and products in competition or through lifestyle videos like trailers for selling it and answering a misconception or question or two at the same time.

it would not only look better, but is probably more worth your time than sperging out on forums and getting banned from SJW hell holes while your lefty friends are cavorting around online.

I believe it's him, not just the video but the general tone and cadence of the writing, if this isn't Phagan it's the best damned copycat I've ever seen.

There are maybe a dozen people that regularly post in this thread and the gun thread. I refuse to believe anything talked about here gets traction elsewhere in the gun-sphere. We are not the autistic illuminati of guns or anything else.

A copycat wouldn't be coming here to make reasonable-sounding arguments to begin with. They'd come here to get Phagan to make Karl look sane by comparison.
