General GunTuber thread

Russell is confirmed to not be a member of InRangeTV but a "guest host"

That is accurate. If InRange was a publication, Karl would be the editor in chief. And I would be a freelance contributor. Really no different than the publications I’ve worked with before, aside from the fact things get published much faster than the 3 to 6 months that usually takes in print

Anyone else here ready to DEFEND their 2a rights epic style from """""""""""""""""""""""""hobbyists"""""""""""""""""""""""""""?

Who cares? The rest of them are now that much more valuable. If all he's doing is spray painting it it's not like it's ruined and giving him attention is what he wants anyways, just treat him like you would any other child that's being a faggot; nod your head and blow him off with a "That's nice."

Do you mean the single other first-gen WA2000 in the United States?
Yeah, I do. Who cares? The more attention you give him the more you encourage him, influencers are at their very cores attention starved children who will do anything to act out for attention. Treat them the same way you would a child, just blow them off and ridicule them in an uninterested manner. The more invested you get the more excited they get.

It's a weak analogy admittedly but still works in context.
I disagree. The Mona Lisa isn't just a fancy and expensive painting, it's a cultural artifact insured by the French government and an object that is totally unique within the world which could never be 100% recreated or reproduced if damaged. There's also the amusing fact that before Perugia stole it the Mona Lisa was actually one of the less remarkable exhibits at the Louvre and it only really rose to prominence after it was the subject of one of the most famous art thefts in history, not necessarily due to any inherent quality of the painting itself. A WA2000, while expensive and rare, is not an object we couldn't reproduce or recreate in a 100% match to the original. The WA2000 is also by all accounts an excellent rifle and is valued not only for it's collector status but also for it's inherent mechanical quality.

Of course at the end of the day nothing is sacred and the beauty of a machine lies in it's use. I would honestly rather have some retard spray paint it and beat it up shooting it it than let it just sit in some hoity toity fucker's collection or warehouse gathering dust.

I'd rather a gun be taken out to the range and used, even if just for plinking or for fun, than it being treated as an investment by some collector that's going to either sell it to some other collector who doesn't really care about the gun so much as its price tag and how high it's likely to rise, or have it sold on auction when he dies and his estate doesn't know what to do with it. Use it, treat it carefully, and keep it around. Nothing about a WA2000 is truly irreplaceable if you have enough money to get parts custom-made.

(And if you've got a WA2000 one would expect you to have that kind of money.)

That is one of my favorite rifles and perhaps Mona Lisa is a bit far, but this would be the same as resto-modding an original Mustang Shelby or something. You should only do it if the one you get is fucking junked.
Trailer queens are tragic, but fudded up classics are just as bad.
If there is some respect in the guy (I don't know if him, so no idea) if you got a custom stock made you could do it without fucking up the original.

I still couldn't bring myself to care assuming the restomod is actually being driven and used. I've seen way too many classic cars that get restored, driven a little over 1,000 miles in five years, and then improperly parked for ten years before being sold for unreasonable amounts of money.

Bonus Shitpost on Polenar's channel. Not gonna lie, this one got a chuckle out of me.

Best comment so far:
"Basically, you took a semi-auto AK and turned it into a crew-serve weapon. Then you took Ian hostage and made him review it."

I am so glad Zastava started making the ZPAP, far too many of these M70AB2s have their (fully functional, mind you) grenade sights chopped down to fit a quad rail or ultimak

A video of him doing Bill Drills with this would be hilarious. Was fun to see him magdump a Zastava M91 in his Tarkov video (5:30)

At what sheer frequency of dick and gay sex innuendos does Garand Thumb go from "haha what a total frat dudebro" to "is this guy a deeply closeted homosexual?"

I get it - guns are phallic and the military is homoerotic. It's funny the first time, but it starts to get weird when those are your only two jokes for years on end.
