General GunTuber thread

I'm not too familiar with Brandon, but I've seen a few of his gun meme review videos and he seems like a cool guy. I might be retarded, but maybe this situation warrants some cautious optimism. I would like to know more about the guy he is running against, because we could have a situation much like AOC's rise to power. It all just depends on how dissatisfied the people of his district are with the incumbent. Worst case scenario is that he makes a fool of himself either during the race or when he is in congress and plenty of Republicans have done that before without 'dooming the west'.

Tl;dr the political aristocracy has always ruled us.
And they sometimes get their comeuppance too. But usually, the ones that say they'll do better, do worse. Only exception I can think of is the American one. And, I think, we still have some of those prospects left, I hope.

The french know all about that. God bless them, they know it too well.

Edit: I’m not talking about their recent protests, i’m talking about the time their aristocracy said “idgaf starve and be poor” and so they cut their fucking heads off, let the other one die in a shit-covered cell from TB and freed themselves of retarded leaders for like….a good bit of time.

The district Brandon Herrara is running in is a solid Republican one. Realistically if he runs with anything that isn't that he'll get destroyed probably. Looking at the most recent election in the district on Ballotpedia, he should theoretically be golden if he manages to survive the primary. Taking on incumbents typically isn't easy and by comparison when Tony Gonzales won the seat in 2020 it was in a somewhat close election after the previous Republican congressmen decided not to stand for office again.

The political campaign should provide some amusement at the very least, regardless of outcome.

The big question for Brandon's campaigns (both primary and general) is whether or not the other guy successfully weaponizes his own videos against him. The district is solidly red, but there are still a lot of normies out there who could be spooked by some Che Guevara-looking asshole making alcoholism jokes and shooting guns on youtube.

So he'd have to account for losing those and instead try to mobilize a whole different (and younger) sector of the electorate. I can't wait for the increasingly exasperated and/or tired campaign update videos.

The other question is how bad is this gonna split the red voter base? Probably won't but still, worth asking.

No one gets into career politics unless they're genuinly fucking evil, greedy or both.

When he was dipping his toes into it through some gun lobbyists i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was always a tool so it makes sense someone would use him as such but if all he got out of that experience is that he should go balls deep then fuck him.

Also he's not going to win shit if his only platform is "Aduuuh guns gewd". While americans like to brag about having 6 gorillion guns in their country. The reality is the vast majority of those are either in private collections or stockpiled by very small groups of people or individuals. Your average citizen doesn't give a shit because they either don't own a weapon or if they do it's a pistol they keep in a safe and only bring it out to shoot and clean it like once a year if that.

He needs to run on shit that actually affects a majority of people.

Yeah, the nickel plated ones in 9 that Zastava currently produce always tempt me
It's probably the gay, but those things make my dick tingle in just the right way.

I've probably mentiones it before, but there's also a stainless-steel Norinco version in 9mm (and 7.62 Tokarev IIRC); although I haven't seen one for sale since 2020.

Granted I haven't been looking nearly as much since then, but up until about 2016-18 I'd see at least one or two Type 213s at gun-shows or GB & Armslist whenever I happened to look (maybe every 6 months or year). But the last time I saw one for sale, it had an $800 hang tag; before then they were in the $5-600 range. They're really nice pistols as far as TTs and Norincos go, but not $800 nice (unless you just had to have one).

Edit: to keep OT in regards to "good" Brandon, none of it is surprising to me; the minute I saw him posting up with Crenshaw & frens, I knew they were only in it for his view & subscriber count. So when he went and spoke at that ATF hearing, I pretty much knew they had gotten to him; bless his simple, useful heart. He's an otherwise good dood, but no way did he veer off towards Washington on his own.
