General GunTuber thread

I think we will be getting more slap round content from KB for years to come after this success. Prominent features from Demolition Ranch out of pity didn't hurt either....

Other guntubers with dying/stagnant channels like Karl should take note of those gains. Take some shrapnel to the neck for 4-5x monthly subscribers or slip in to obscurity...

Pretty sure InRange tried that when Ian took that piece of 8mm Lebel shrapnel to the chest. That was a long time ago, though.

That's the worst part about this to me, KB now has a pigeonhole to live in.
I'm fine with that because his usual content is too goofy for me. There are only so many times you can watch a good ol' boy shooting at cans of nacho cheese and kicking eggplant. So long as he stays safe doing it, destructive overpressure testing of guns is a much more interesting subject for me. Expensive, though.

Funny story, many years ago on Armslist I saw a S&W Model 500 listed for sale, with the description "only one round fired."
Very common story with Super Magnums, or regular Magnums in very lightweight guns, for that matter. That lightweight alloy .44 Magnum revolver you can get from Smith & Wesson under their Performance Center brand fucking SUCKS to shoot, probably even more if you have no experience at all with harsh recoiling guns.

I have to give Scott kudos on this one.
Can only concur, that's genuinely based, few people would sacrifice a nice $10000 gun like that.
With how that one SLAP was still higher pressure than that, he would definitely have to be rushed to the hospital anyway.

I have to give Scott kudos on this one. I did not expect this video. That thing went kaboom real good, and while there wasn't a lot of shrapnel, there was still shrapnel at chest and head level, and it was an impressive fireball. Plus the gun bouncing would have clonked the shooter on the head on the way down.

And look at that, the magazine ballooned. Neat.
I look forward to seeing him test more firearms with hot ammo, I am really looking forward to it when he blows up an AK to watch the AKGUY cry over it lol.
But for real though I never thought he would kill a $10,000 gun but it look good.

If we wanted to see him blow up an AK, he could just get a PSA one and use regular ammo lol.

I think KB certainly found his big niche with these videos.

That's a very expensive niche, so I expect him to keep doing his zany "LOOK AT ME SHOOTING THIS GUN" videos as the bulk of his content. Still, I'll be giving him my views if he releases more destructive testing videos.

I think those sponsored ad reads are often crazy big money. Like Raid Shadow Legends:

"The company pays $4.19k on average for every ad, with this price differing from market to market. The US influencers, for example, get $11.8k for a sponsored video with an average of 261.9k views"

So, Scott can probably negotiate some pretty big payouts from the sponsors for these videos, given that all his 50 cal explosion vids pull in huge views.

Brandon Herrera talked about this on a podcast. He said they pay him enough for a used car per ad. And also none of them can speak English apparently.

fuck. I want to be sponsored by Raid Shadow Legends. I’ll even wear it on a Tech Wear Shirt
You're going to have to work on your inflection, my man. You can't just casually say "Raid Shadow Legends" when you're doing the ad read, you have to really lean into it and belt out "RAID! SHADOW LEGENDS!" or they won't even give you the time of day.

Let's hope they never find out about SponsorBlock because I haven't seen any of their stupid promos in a year. MAC was especially bad with two sponsor promos.
You don't want him to go on and on about UnlimitedBigDaddies dot com and that you can use his discount code to backorder everything you could ever want?

He did help attack the NRA and drive membership towards other gun rights organizations like Gun Owners of America.
The thing is, the NRA is a great lightning rod that distracts midwits from the effective organizations. Also, I am salty that NRA-tier boomer marketing is gradually infecting GOA/SAF/et al. So sick of "DUMBOCRATS ARE COMING YOUR YOUR GUNS NEXT THURSDAY!!!" shit written all over the goddamn envelopes.
