He certainly seems to be speaking from his backend on this one.Total cow behavior. Blaming the "backend"...
Here's how you know how far Karl has fallen into cow-dom.
Why is Karl the Kretinous Kuck such a Kolossal Kweer? What malfunctioned inside whatever tiny little brain he may have to make him this way?
I agree completely with your rant, but the problem is trying to make 2A a community in the first place. On the topic of internet schizos:
The thing the internet has made is a hug box for those types of guys who bask in the theories of "oh actually there was a federal agent with a machine gun at parkland" and take the statements of frightened, pants pissing, and fearful teenagers at face value. They do no help but the problem is the 2A community never bothers to filter them out because a lot of them believe that private censorship within their own community is wrong.
All this to say, the 2A community should be cleaning up its own and not scaring away potential members with loud, mouth frothing retards like Karl, the guy from Ammo AZ, or Jnmyanus Pizza. The Paul Harrell video said something that I noticed that no one in the firearm community has acknowledged: People need to clean up their act and do more to stand up because this is currently a community of Yankee Marshalls and Karls with Tacticool Troons who ruin the image for others.
Yes I do believe guns are for everyone, but at the same point, the firearm community needs to do more to police itself and have some discipline over its own optics.
/end rant
Tl;dr Dear Firearm community,
I love you but jesus no one wants to see you get choked to death in the middle of the night because you believed in Chinese herbal cures vs actually getting the cancer removed.
I'm not disagreeing with you, actually. I used to help another friend of mine take new shooters to the range and felt better about some notional idea of a "community" but based off of similar interests rather than gender or sexual identity. The 2A groups have been doing an okay thing, I'll even go as far as to say Pink Pistols does the gatekeeping thing fucking well. They have issues, sure, but they filter out a lot of the troons who decide to kick up a fuss because unlike Armed Equality(who boycotted a tampon company for not being trans inclusive enough while PP literally was speaking at different state events) a few of those guys were survivors of Pulse. This is why I don't really care for 2A as a "community". It doesn't represent anything, because no matter what happens someone in the "2A community" is going to be butthurt by any legal or cultural development. Yes, I would agree with a tranny with a My Little Pony-themed rainbow-colored AR-15 that private ownership of guns is important, but that's literally the only thing we have in common, which makes agreeing on any kind of detail to the importance of private ownership of guns impossible. I'd much rather support specific pro-gun organizations that push (and lobby, because nothing gets done in this fucking country without lobbyists) for policies I agree with, and if these organizations align with other pro-gun organizations in order to push for pro-gun legislation that's great. The point is that these organizations should be representing the interests of their members, rather than some vaguely-defined "community" of unaffiliated people.
It's not exactly an incorrect sentiment either. AE is a great example of doing nothing and building a cult of personality around your sexuality with guns sprinkled in.Long story short, anyone trying to speak for or about "the 2A community" is talking out of their ass.
Does anyone else remember the whole debacle where he made a comment in one video to the effect of "You pull the charging handle on the G3 down and release it, you NEVER perform the HK slap the HK slap is a bad thing to do." and then people were like "Literally how is the HK slap bad for the gun and who has ever said 'don't do that'?"Hell, he even got defensive when people were trying to correct him on how to grip a Sten gun and started sperging about "doctrine" so he could justify a minor mistake.
After seeing an old article mentioning Karl, I was thinking about what got Ian and Karl to be friends in the first place. And I reached the conclusion that it was probably their shared love of history. Both men do very similar things when it comes down to it, too: they look for documentation to back their arguments. And as far as guns go, manuals of arms and doctrine manuals are their Holy Grail. But doctrine and real life are two different things and soldiers are infamous for bending and/or ignoring the rules once the rubber has met the road. So the official documentation needs to be supplemented by knowledge drawn from real-life experience.Does anyone else remember the whole debacle where he made a comment in one video to the effect of "You pull the charging handle on the G3 down and release it, you NEVER perform the HK slap the HK slap is a bad thing to do." and then people were like "Literally how is the HK slap bad for the gun and who has ever said 'don't do that'?"
And then Karl made at least one video where he pulled up the Bundeswehr operating manual for the G3 and appealed to doctrine to say "SEE? The Bundeswehr CLEARLY states to not do the HK slap! I'm right and you're wrong! nanner nanner nanner!"
And then everyone else was like "Yeah sure, maybe it says that but you still haven't explained why it's actually bad to do." alongside a couple guys who were claiming to be former Bundeswehr who were all like "The manuals told us not to do it but we did it anyways. No one cared and it caused no problems with the rifles."
I remember that.
I think we talked about it briefly. There's long running beef between Atlas Survival and Rising S. The guy who runs Atlas constantly accuses the owner of Rising S of snitching to the feds, making bunkers that rust and brings up a situation where a bunker blew up due to some gas leak. The Rising S guy gave Matt a bunker in exchange for the videos promoting the company which was just the better deal and the competitor got felted.I just stumbled across this on YouTube, it's an archived video from some guy that manufactures underground bunkers, bitching about a bad experience negotiating a sponsership with Demolition Ranch...

Karl will never see combat unless said combat is the fight to put on an ever tightening plate carrier while he shoots at dirt, so his opinion on the forward assist is safely discarded.Karl is so stuck on canceling the forward assist, he actually went to the trouble of citing a person he probably would otherwise completely dismiss:
