Maybe I am in the minority here, but while I believe firearms ownership is a fundamental right, going so far as to extend it to my political enemies; I also don't really want to promote the arming of their partisan groups either.

The current twitter shitshow appears to originate from a Scott Greer(conservative twitter pundit loosely associated with Nick Fuentes). Responding to the recent occurrences of antifa members showing up with guns to "protect" child drag shows.

Hard to tell how mad the FPC twitter person is because like all reddit millenials they really like saying "fuck" all the time.

This kicked a hornet's nest, now there's some minor twitter drama between libertarians and people who don't think pedophiles/supporters of pedophiles should have rights. After FPC responded some people tweeted at them voicing their disagreement and discontinuing their support. This caused FPC to chimpout.

Youtube can be arbitrarily neurotic about how they handle monetization of gun content, and they have been slowly ratcheting down on this for a long time. To the point where "gun-smithing" can get your channel shitcanned now. A lot of the history documentarians have been getting hit with de-monetization especially anything that relates to the funny mustache shouty man.

So it wouldn't surprise me if they aren't in the process of tightening things again.

If they kill off all the Energetic-Science/Gun/History Channels all at once, then they have suddenly built a viable audience for an alternative platform.

Doing it slowly prevented a rival platform from gaining traction for a long time, and even now Rumble and Odysee are tiny.

Ian individually? no but all the big guntubers? yes. A lot of these gun channels have millions of subs and view and while I'm sure there a lot of overlap between channels the reality is Youtube is making a lot of money off guns despite their protests.

I wanted to give FPC some slack cause I get the point they're arguing for. Since every time gun control activist want to restrict rights they always try to spin as a matter of the greater good. As well historically every time the government restricted guns rights to specific group of people for public safety they always immediately find a new group who is threat to the public and needs to have their rights restricted rinse and repeat.
