Well, Mike Glover ("an operator") came out with a blazing hot take recently. Apparently people who carry JHPs are not using their whole brain and should be carrying FMJs for self defense instead for better penetration.

Not sure the justification on this, outside of maybe trying to stir up drama for more click dollars. I've always assumed the vast majority of modern JHPs like HST and anything from Hornady barrier blind enough for the average self defense scenario. It's not like you're going to have to engage someone on the other side of a cinder block wall or two in anything besides a larp fantasy. There's supposedly a part two coming with "testing", not really expecting much from it honestly as this seems pretty stupid.

Also what's with those goofy ammo choices? No sane person carries 65gr +P 9mm for self defense.

This has to be fucking click bait, that "what's best to carry" bullshit was settled 15 years ago or more. You only carry FMJ if you're retarded, or Israeli.

Literally had my old sgt. repeat some bullshit myth to me about "I heard it's illegal to carry JHPs in Florida" when I moved here. Dude was surprised when I looked at him like he was a sister fucking retard.

It makes me think of those kinds of guys who insist on carrying really lightweight projectiles for .357 Magnum, except retarded.
 
I only carry wadcutters in my six shooter for self defense. Anything else is just unmanly and probably illegal in my wonderful bastion State of California.
 
Non-captive takedown pins are a terrible design choice as they can be lost during cleaning if you aren't 100% aware of their location. The KP-15 Lower, or the Cav Arms Mk III as it was originally marketed pre-production, is overpriced and bad.

I'm suspecting we wont see him back. The farms got too much heat and he has become a very public face of KE arms.

I'm sure much of the InRange fanbase would be aghast he even had account here, let alone the die hards that actually read Karl's twitter.

I really don't give a shit what people want to carry, don't care about the gun, the caliber, the round in specific. But you're going to be held accountable for collateral damage, so, a competent person should be keeping that in mind. When you pull a full ghetto-ass accidentally overpenetrate and hit a girl in a nail salon behind the guy you were firing at, dunno what to tell you bud.
