General GunTuber thread

Politicians are the lowest form of organism on this planet and I'm tired of pretending even random homeless people aren't suitable for office. If this nigger promises common carrier status for ISPs he has my support.
Plz update city rpg. Bunch of niggers just recently completely reversed engineered BL and it might not be dead now
The FA talk is the Deus Ex of gun tropes.
I'm here. I love FA's I love them. Need to commission a gijinka of a FA so I can pose with it like that one dude who had his arm photoshopped around that chick from Bakugan.

Visiting back has been an absolute surprise, a rollercoaster of emotion. Paul Harrell literally dying, Brandon Hererra running for congress, Cokeman playing with fate yet again, Garand Thumb causing reddit to set alight again, and best of all. The retards arguing about Brandon being an evil mastermind politician to make more dosh and fight to the top of the aborted fetus hill to get that taste of Adrenochrome action.

A bunch of NAFO fags are fellating themselves & fighting with FW haters, over whether Ian is a fella or not; based on his rocking a NAFO patch front & center in Finnish Brutality.

Unless I missed the part where he explicitly admitted to being a NAFO fella, my bet is one of his patreon cows put him up to it (i.e. paid for) and he probably doesn't care much one way or another; but the amount of salt flowing over it is funny. I was just surprised he wasn't wearing an Elbonian flag patch instead.

As I said before, I don't think Ian spends enough time online to know or even care. As far as he's concerned, these are just a bunch of meme creators on the internet who occasionally run charities. He probably just got sent a patch, thought it was funny, and put it on for the event. As for the Elbonian patch... well, that joke is pretty old already.

Yeah, it was a fun thought experiment first, but it's also a joke that grew some legs & autistic lore in the gun community; so personally I'd rather wear one of those patches than obvious brand merch.

It was an interesting mental exercise, the idea of buying what looks like great weaponry only to completely fuck your military. Essentially what happens with regular defense procurement, only it's intentional.

Also today's FW video covers retaining mags. Doesn't mention the fact that in most Armies a large chunk of a soldiers ammunition loadout is going to come in bandoliers, so if you chuck all your magazines you're going to be stuck loading the rounds in one by one.

Why would he know that? He doesn't know what an FA is for, why expect him to know shit about the business of soldiering or fighting. Dudes just a bookworm on a topic some people enjoy; older firearms.

Did you actually watch the video?

People talking about the Finnish Brutality rules with regards to retaining mags was the subject that prompted the video, but his entire argument is that you should train for a wide variety of situations and be mindful of what you're doing because you never know what, exactly, you're going to get into. Which is very good advice. And he mentions specifically that he's talking about training as a civilian and that he would like input from military people since he has no experience with that.

I get that it's easy to dunk on Ian for being a skinny geek with no military experience, but in this case at least he stayed on his lane. He wasn't talking about soldiers having to retain mags because it was irrelevant to the discussion about training for specific competitions and generating training scars.

I will, however, give him shit for the dumb as fuck trying-to-be-funny clickbaity title. You're way too white and nerdy for that, Ian.

Too white? Though it's spelled ebonics-y, the 'kilt in the streets' meme is supposed to evoke boomerfudd lore.

He stated that retaining mags was a 'competition habit' rather than something you'd do in a real world situation. In fact in most militaries retaining magazines is exactly what you'd do in a real world situation. 150 rounds in clips in a bandolier weigh less and take up far less space than the same amount in magazines.

Also I have a suspicion that the real reason that they brought in the rules was less about time lost in resetting stages than the fact that it offended the most like ex military guys running the range.

Also just to keep harping on about magazine retention, it does add to the loading drill. I was trained to put my empty magazine back into my Ammo pouch was a massive hassle especially if I'm trying to do 6 other things at the same time and I'm stressed to fuck. However when I got to my first unit I was shown how to shove them into my jacket and eventually we got given man-bags when we deployed.

I'm wondering if the ex military guys did a lot better in the stages?
