Ian creams his pants over a $10,000 CZ-75.
Looks like the FK Brno and the Alien had an inbred baby. "Firearm as art" is not a good start when it looks derivative. Also it doesn't even match Art Nouveau, it just looks like generic Sci-Fi shite. I am convinced Ian is the most gullible midwit in the gun world. Some slavic jew in broken English said " Yis yis, dis gun is of arc novoc" and Ian really believed it.

highest grade wood, highest grade steels, hand engraving by master engravers, perfect color case bluing and all 100% made by hand. 1,000 man hours per gun, and the waiting list is years. The best part is that it is also completely functional, and durable for all conditions from wading reeds in the drizzling rain duck hunting or bird hunting in he heat on the cape in south Africa.
150,000 pound sterling though. each. they are usually sold in pairs.

Is that a Boss shotgun ? or another manufacturer ? I love these.

Old English SBSs with damascus barrels are some of the finest looking firearms ever produced
I agree, and you can get into that market fairly cheaply. at that time all the big names in the english trade made "second quality" guns. still all hand made to a very high standard but with just a little less engraving, maybe not as high a grade of wood etc. usaully these guns were bought for keepers or a rich mans son's first gun or someone who just didn't have the budget for a "best" gun.
Here is a westley richards 16 gauge made in 1882 and the seller only wants 3,600USD for it. that is a screaming deal for a WR gun in near perfect condition. look at those browned barrels! many of these guns can and have been proofed for modern smokeless shells too.

I was speaking to an auctioneer a few months back and he was saying he sells loads of old SBSs to the US market, quite often stuff that wouldn't move at all over here.

Eric Clapton's old guns, anyone? For a mere £20-30k

that's only going to speed up now that the ban on lead has went through (these old guns usually can't take steel shot). people don't want to pay for bismuth. Here in the US lead is only banned for waterfowl hunting due to a international treaty. otherwise lead is still good to go.

Yeah, sadly I think both my hammerguns have had their last game seasons now and lead cartridges for clays will be gone soon enough. I certainly wouldn't be putting steel through a gun that old, especially not with damascus barrels. Also means my battered old Auto5 is going to have to stay in the safe.
Between the lead ban, bird flu and double digit inflation it's not much fun being a sporting gun anymore.

:(
There is something about a hammergun that i can't really put into words. it's just so satisfying to take them out into the field and bring back a bird or squirrel or rabbit. I've got more modern shotguns but more often than not i end up taking the husqvarna. if it was chambered in 2 3/4 inch shells I'd probably take it every time but alas it's in 2 1/2 so i have to load my own shells since none of my local stores carry that length.

Wow, lead shots are banned in the US ? That is quite sad.
Also any good youtubers for hunting content you guys would recommend ?
I'll always be sad we will never have a hunting in the field video with Paul Harrell.

its banned for hunting in the UK, its only banned for ducks and geese and the like in the US because of the migratory bird act. for other birds like turkey, quail, dove, grouse etc lead is allowed.

I like the meateater TV show for hunting, it also has alot of cooking content. TGS outdoors does some good UK oriented hunting videos.

It's Super Tuesday. What's your bets on Brandon Herrera primarying Tony Gonzales? And is he electable in the general? (Only reason I question his chances in the general is because he's running in Uvalde's district).
a vote for brandon is a vote for paedoph- j/k

i just remember all those jokes constantly on the unsub podcast

I highly doubt he will perform very well. I was following his campaign and they're short on money. Given the Uvalde thing, his platform being heavily 2A and Border Control first also makes it kind of weird to run on given the district. His only saving grace I think is his last name being Hispanic.

I really hope he does well just to get another antigun asswipe out but I'm iffy, he didn't seem to do a great job at really hyping the date and if it wasn't for your post I wouldn't even know, granted his priority of course is the local scene but idk, still seems like he could've done more.
