I agree, and you can get into that market fairly cheaply. at that time all the big names in the english trade made "second quality" guns.
Doesn’t have to be English either. I’m rocking my Great-Grandfather’s LC Smith in 12 gauge and there’s a Colt 10 gauge in the family still. Both are beautiful guns

My understanding is that the incumbent has pissed off both the state and local GOP.
Curious to see what happens.

This is who Herrera is running against (he also has 3 other competitors to go against in the primary besides Gonzales):

many of these guns can and have been proofed for modern smokeless shells too
Thise old twist barrel guns are beautiful but I would never shoot one with smokeless loads unless I had the barrels x-rayed, even if it was nitro proofed backed in the day. I've seem too many blown up guns and heard took many stories about voids rusting the barrels from the inside out.

New Paul Harrell video.

I wish his brother was a little bit more Paul-esque but he doesn't suck so that's all that matters. Also I find it funny how he's almost hitting the exact same places on that deer target as Paul did years ago.
All those hip soy guntubers and Gosh decides to take Paul from us. Cruel world. Hope that Karl faggot from InRange gets aids as recompense for this shitty timeline.

I'm still highly optimistic about Roy so far. I must say, he's doing better and better in each video. Almost gave me some proper Paul vibes with the whole "Excuse the noises, we're trying to keep the camera dry" at the beginning.

Roy is definitely finding his footing, yeah. Could do with letting a little more personality through (I can't imagine the Harrells don't all have a bit of that dry wit to them) but I'm sure it'll come naturally as he becomes more used to the format. The audio in particular is a lot better here, probably because he didn't have any takes in that absurdly echo-y room he's recorded a couple of times in.

I'm not expecting him to be a drop-in replacement for his brother, but I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops further as a host. The guy has got some huge waterproof shoes to fill.

Never heard of Xraying a barrel. as long as the walls are atleast 0.030in ~5in back from the muzzle (thinnest part of the tube) it should be safe. any thinner and its been honed, which might have tinned it too much at the breach where pressure is highest.

ALWAYS test the wall thickness. I only by from dealers that test it and list the thickness. And ALWAYS shoot lighter loads, 8k psi or so. this mimics blackpowder pressures and imparts minimal strain on the gun.

OR buy a old gun that has sleeved barrels. sleeving is when a gunsmith cuts the barrels off at the end of the chamber and welds on new tubes. this can bring a old dangerous gun back to life.

Something tells me using the campaign slogan "Let's go Brandon" wasn't the smartest idea.
I don't know what his actual campaigning was like, he is firmly in second still.

From what I seen on social media, youtube both primary and secondary channel and other channels in their orbit like the unsubscribe podcast, it felt like it was becoming half hearted around january as if something happened behind the scenes that he knew he wasn't going to be able to win.
That's 100% pure speculation on my part, its the sense i have. But honestly not half bad if the numbers stay around the same.

He did much better than Cenk Uygur did when he ran in CA for a rep position and I'd put money down on Brandon's performance being better than Cenk's presidential run.

Gonzales probably just had all the funding (ETA and incumbent's advantage is brutal in local races like that). An online platform only gives you results when it reaches the right people, and I don't think that district was crammed with enough 18- to 35-year-old males who spend too long on youtube to secure him a win.

Doesn't help he clearly split the vote with the woman who got the party censure on him.

I mean, getting to no. 2 against an incumbent candidate as a first timer with barely any real campaigning power behind you? That's a win in itself. You'd expect some gun toting macho YouTuber to end up on the dead end of the list because no one would treat him seriously.
