General GunTuber thread

Why is everyone involved with 3d printing such massive faggot retard sperg? Like bro you're not being an edgy transgressive resistance fighter. Your guns are ugly as shit and break so easily. You tell one of these guys on twitter their guns are ugly as fuck and you get 10 anime trannies attacking you calling you antigun.
You will never be a real gunsmith. You have no drill press, you have no rotaries, you have no lathe. You are a autistic man twisted by 1's and 0's into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your ghoulish print jobs behind closed doors.

Those 3D printed pews may be ugly as fukk and not at all durable but the reality is it really only needs to work once in Minecraft.
You're right. That's why I've never understood the obsession with "Dunking on the poors" I've seen in so many different gun groups. If all I had was a Yeet Cannon and a PSA AR, I'd use them to smoke one dude and upgrade if the shit ever hit the fan.

It's a budding, tech-adjacent "community" ripe for grifting and attention whoring, which attracts autists of all flavors. Including trannies.
Plus, it doesn't require thousands of dollars in power tools or a vague understanding of engineering. That's why places like the weaponeer forums for homemade guns were primarily relegated to old fogies.

I look forward to it. The 'specific guntuber thread' field has been held by Karl only for far too long.
I'm honestly surprised TheYankeeMarshall still hasn't gotten a thread.

Then again, I haven't paid attention to him in years, so maybe he's isn't quite the milkable cow he used to be?

Agree and disagree. What really matters is how much you shoot and how good your muscle memory is about handling firearms. A good shooter with a PSA may beat someone who shoots his LMT once a year, but a good shooter with an LMT and 1-10 scope and 10,000 rounds through it will beat a good shooter with a bone stock PSA with irons.

The worst part about TYM apart from how terrifying he looks is that he sometimes makes good points, and that's enough to forget about him for a few weeks. Also, guntube has expanded significantly to the point where it's difficult to keep track of everyone, like how nutnfancy isn't the only guy doing "in-depth reviews" anymore.

That's my personal parameter on what threads would be productive. If someone is easy to forget or so unproductive as a cow that they fall off the radar after just a couple of weeks, they're usually better placed in a megathread like this. But if they're a productive lolcow, keep getting into drama, or have a completely insane fanbase (or all of the above), they'd do great with their own thread if for no other reason it stops taking over the main thread. Case in point: Karl.

Remember when YM went into the CHAZ and almost got killed by leftists because they thought his animal rescue lapel pin was some kind of nazi/far right symbol?

He's still around despite all odds. Do the teach chairforce members to hold their lips like that when they talk? Like how CIA guys have a droop on one side of their face? Or is it a product of talking into a helmet mic for years?
It's a side-effect of becoming a true, red-blooded sheepdog looking out for the rest of us.

I always assumed 3d printing attracted ADF types because they're obsessed with the image of being militant, can't afford a gun, and probably couldn't pass a NICS check if they could.
One word: Autism
Plus you've got the gay faggots on both sides of the political spectrum that sperg out on twitter. The right's just a little better at keeping under the radar since the left has backing from the state right now.

It's not even a viable alternative at the moment. You can make frames that will go into the thousands of rounds, but the materials stop being cost effective. It's extremely useful for people in countries where firearms are unavailable or unaffordable, but it's mostly ideological masturbation for the sane Americans involved.

They do make resins where the final product is similar to jeweler's wax and can be used to create a mold to pour aluminum. If you're interested in stuff like that, you can manufacture some legit FCG parts. I think that's how the first super safeties were manufactured. Until we get stronger, cheaper materials to print with, casting is the way to go.

Personally, I am not convinced that casting hard enough aluminum is viable at the DIY level. I think lost wax casting on bronze/iron/steel would be the best bet or sand casting with a resin.

But if you can do that anyways, you could probably make a gun from scratch with enough dedication. Not as in "I can mill my own AR/AK" tier, but as in the "laughs at NFA with zero traceable evidence tier" tier.

Casting iron or steel would be much much harder than casting aluminum due to the high temperature required. One of the easiest materials to cast with would be ZAMAK, which is a family of Zinc alloys used in everything from door handles to Hi Points. Sauce: this guy
