What’s the odds M4 urgi will end up becoming the true M4 replacement?
Fill me in on URGI?
The Spear is definitely not going anywhere far, it's simply way too retarded on paper and in practice.
In my opinion, the only way that ideas from NGSW could have made sense would be to transform the concept from a standard issue infantry rifle (and MG) into a true DMR, and there could be some potential in some of these ideas:
  • Conventional 6.8mm rifle cartridge, no plastic bullshit or bimetal case crap, loaded for much more normal chamber pressures with a hardened steel core/tip.
  • Bullpup design so you can have an extra long (probably fluted) barrel to increase velocity a good bit, reversible ejection and all that.
  • Conventional action, like a rotating bolt and short-stroke piston (but maybe a modified Stoner "DI" could be devised, as to make the action as in-line as possible).
  • Semi-auto only, together with a long barrel this would be a less gainly gun for entry but this isn't the doorkicker's gun, this is for extending the reach of the squad.
  • Free-float and then bipod. Possibly grip-pod.
  • Doesn't need to be a true sub-MOA sniper's rifle, as long as it could maintain 1MOA for a good while it'd be good.
  • Supposed magic optic might actually make some sort of sense in this role, but even then just a good conventional optic goes far here.
And for the most important part, the gun can NOT be designed or made by Sig Sauer.

This will make guns cooler to zoomers. Same way call of duty and battlefield made guns cool for a whole generation.
There's always that positive, and this is a ball which they simply can't stop the rolling on (I was gunpilled by Goldeneye 64), but I still worry for the status of gun content on YouTube as a whole.

I don't enjoy Roy as Paul's replacement.
Paul is really distinct in personality and presentation, but in fairness Roy is also in the process of building up to and adapting into this role. He's not as good, but I'm willing to give him a shot for a while and see if he'll git gudder at this.

9-hole did a video on the URGI recently. SOCOM currently uses it but I could totally see it, or some cheaper version being what comes after if (or when) the Spear shits the bed. It seems to be a very capable rifle, all things considered.
The major things I got from the video were a handguard change to support MLOK and a gas system rework to better support suppressors.
Also, it's very accurate.
Overall, the URGI package makes way more sense to me as a replacement for the M4s. If the army wants its infantrymen to get accurate hits up to 600 meters, then this could do it. 5.56 doesn't have the terminal performance 6.8 has at range, but IMO 6.8 as a whole falls flat on its face when (to my knowledge) the average rifleman isn't really the one producing casualties anyway.

I get the feeling that Paul really wants Roy to be successful after his passing, and even if that means I'm going to let Roy's video go in the background because he's not 'there' yet, I'm willing to do that to help him out in the algorithm.

I'd rather Roy be successful than some tranny-chasing retard like FPSRussia.

FPSRussia can’t even own firearms and doesn’t even upload anymore, so I think Rory has this lol

Roy has mentioned that Paul watches every video of his and gives him feedback and tips to improve. Roy’s videos have noticeably improved since he first started so I feel confident that he’ll continue to get better.

Roy reminds me a lot of old school guntubers from 15 years ago. His videos are comfy and no frills with a lot of information delivered in an autistic way. And Roy's a former LEO so hopefully we get some stories from when he was a cop back in the 90s.
As someone who's just getting started in firearms, I have to say Roy is right up my alley. Basic, informative, and no annoying try-hard edgy shit. Speaking of, what channels would you guys recommend me along those lines as a newb? Most channels seem to aim themselves at people already deep into the hobby.

Tactical Hyve has quite a few good tutorial type videos for new pistol and rifle shooters, as well as a mix of tactical scenarios, gear overviews and some videos from the combat vets shooting the shit about various military history subjects. They have playlists dedicated to various subjects, so it's easy to find pistol shooting tips videos, etc.

@HumptiDouji

  • Bullpups not happening in the United States whether it's the armed forces, federales or the American people en mass. Just be happy somebody will eventually cater to the niche bullpup fans.

Boiler plate vid, he's just going over the gist of the lawsuit and how it will work
The kicker are the comments of the people that think it actually happened and that being rewarded millions upon millions of dollars because a dude wore a "i cant breathe" shirt lmao
lmao blacks see a piece of string and think its a noose or that everyone cares for every pavement ape that gets goodified by the pigs. Guess I'm ordering another PSA gun if they don't back down on this one.

Balding ex-cop is terrible at the YouTube thing. He's got the budget and the backing but without the cool and aloof nature spergy and 'tarded spirit of the baklava era he's got nothing.
I don't know much about guntubers but the only videos I watched of this guy was his take on the A24 Civil War movie and I thought it was a decent analysis on a mid ass film. But as soon as I stepped into other videos I did get a typical ex-cop vibe lol

Wendigoon is definetly one of the few very openly pro-2A content creators that aren't gun tubers so there is a tangetial connection there, but holy shit what is it with the fucking Autistic ADHD editing?
I think the editing is a result of admin becoming really scatter brained after getting into nose candy, leaving the mediocre editors with nothing to work with. Some of his new shooting videos are full of him saying nothing but with high energy.

When Leviathan Group tells Admin to jump, he says how high.

Do you think they also tell him to start his videos by spinning around to face the camera?

What's the deal with that, it's like a masonic ritual all these guntubers seem to do, perhaps to identify them as part of the tribe?

I only ever watched a handful of the Leviathan guys, but I realized recently that I'm no longer subscribed to any of them.

Garand Thumb's videos largely became reddit tier meme slop. Long gone are the days of him standing in front of a black background while he autistically discussed a gun, gun accessory or piece of kit. Now he blows up ballistic dummies with tanks with his annoying friends.

I never really cared for Admin Results, but recently I came across some videos he did where he goes over some of his favorite action films. They're probably the best videos he's ever done.

Most of the other guys on the Leviathan roster I either have only seen a few of their videos, or have never heard of them at all. Most of the roster consists of meme slop and blatant shilling. At least Kit Badger still makes decent videos.

I was surprised that sootch00 isn't a member of the Tribe. That guy has never "reviewed" a product he didn't like.
