I love buffalo bore guy, but what the hell are we proving by shooting super-hewvy game with what I'm sure is different ammo?

Isn't the official story that Charlie got shot with a large/dangerous game round and it didn't expand? That seems fairly believable to me, even a .30-06 FMJ will ice-pick sometimes if it doesn't s any any bones

What's worse is that he's previously stated that weird shit happens with ballistics and not all shots are predictable or even replicable. I figured he'd turn into a lolcow eventually but I didn't expect it happening this way.

What really chaps my ass about it is if anyone could do the real test (shoot a bunch of white tails with bullets that are too heavy and probably won't expand) it's him. Shit somebody that hunts like he does it should be trivial to see what happened,

I've seen so many bullets fail to perform in the deer woods it isn't even funny. IMO old school cup and core bullets generally mog newer designs, and a lot of the tipped "target" bullets are better than what are supposed to be hunting ones.

Wasn’t the story something like he was wearing armor and it hit his armor and it was a ricochet/spalling that killed him? I member at least one person saying that.

There's no way, you can see in the video that it hits him straight in the neck. Nothing else ripples.

As far as I know it hasn't come out yet. People are assuming because the shooter had done some hunting that he just grabbed whatever hunting ammo he had laying around.

Depending on the hunting ammo he had its not impossible for no exit wound. I know of a few factory loaded hunting rounds that are 1 step above a varmint round for terminal performance.
 
Winchester deer rifle ammo has been dog shit that explodes into tiny fragments as soon as it hits a bone for my entire life.
