If it were me, I would have Cena win the belt after interference from Rock and hold it as a heel until SummerSlam where ideally you have a babyface you really want to elevate pin him. I'm not sure if they have someone like that in line, but you could slot Punk or even Roman into that spot too. I think you need to have that interference at Mania and not have John beat him clean to protect Cody and keep the door open for a potential Rock match.

I read somewhere (forgot where) that the reason Indians are really into Roman is because they are that simpleminded. When Vince presented Roman as the big dawg that never lost Indians were like "shit, I guess this guy IS the guy because he never loses! Go Roman!". The fact that he looks like one of the more presentable pajeets only adds to it.

Probably as simple as the new ownership not being assholes like Vince and paying the World Wildlife Fund a little bit to be allowed to use it.

This is wrong. They added the branding back in 2011 or 2012 when WWE made an agreement where they’re allowed to show it in old footage but they couldn’t use the logo in any new footage which is why it gets blurred out in video game footage since that’s considered “new footage”.

I think they worked out a deal to allow the use of the old logos and name in archival footage sometime before the WWE Network launched. Some of the early network stuff still had blurred logos, because they just threw the DVDs up on there.

Generally if you don't see a NJPW guy leave within the first couple of months of a new year then they aren't going anywhere because Japanese contracts tend to run January to January.
