EU Germany far right: Elite KSK commando force 'to be partially disbanded' - No Army for you Krauts

Germany's defence minister says she has ordered the partial dissolution of the elite KSK commando force, which has come under growing criticism over right-wing extremism in its ranks.

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer told a newspaper it had become partly independent of the chain of command.

In May, police seized explosives and weapons at the home of a KSK soldier.

In January, military intelligence said there were almost 600 suspected far-right supporters in the army last year.

They also said the KSK (Special Forces Command) was seen as a particular problem, with 20 members of the elite force suspected of right-wing extremism.

The KSK had "become partially independent" from the chain of command, with a "toxic leadership culture", Ms Kramp-Karrenbauer told the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.

The minister set up a working group in May to examine the problem, and the group presented a report on its findings on Tuesday.

The KSK "cannot continue to exist in its current form" and must be "better integrated into the Bundeswehr [German army]", said the report, seen by the AFP news agency.

One of the force's four companies, where extremism is said to be the most rife, will be dissolved and not replaced, the minister said.

"Anyone who turns out to be a right-wing extremist has no place in the Bundeswehr and must leave it," she told German radio.

KSK operations will be moved to other units as far as possible, and the force will not take part in international exercises and missions until further notice.

Ms Kramp-Karrenbauer said the latest findings - including the disappearance of 48,000 rounds of ammunition and 62kg (137lb) of explosives - were "disturbing" and "alarming".

An internal investigation is due to determine whether those items were stolen or are missing due to sloppy bookkeeping.

The unit was founded in 1996, and has some 1,000 soldiers trained for crisis situations such as freeing hostages abroad, which had not been possible until then without assistance from other countries' forces.

The military's problem with far-right supporters emerged in 2017.

Inspections were ordered on all military barracks when Nazi-era memorabilia was found at two of them. Many of those suspected of far-right links are thought to be sympathetic to Germany's main opposition AfD party.

Germany is for Woke Leftism what Iran is for Shia Islam, so I can't say I'm too surprised by this article

Most of Western Europe is a lost cause, but Germany and Sweden are egregiously woke even by Eurotrash standards. The UK is also pretty cucked despite Brexit, but what else do you expect from the homeland of the Eternal Anglo?

Really, the only European countries I have any hope for are Hungary, Poland, and the Eastern European countries. Maybe Italy as well if it can somehow do the impossible and leave the EU like the UK did.

They are too economically tied to the European project through the Euro and numerous Grants/Funds, it'll be next to impossible for the Eastern Members of the EU to leave, no matter how at odds they are politically with the EU Brass; they all love money.

It'll be a slow drive of influence, with funding held hostage to slowly get the Eastern Bloc to agree to their terms, eventually, they'll tow the line, either out of necessity to keep their economies afloat, or because the EU has made the alternatives so awkward that they go along just to make things easier to their bureaucracy.

Well shit. At least those commados aren't a bunch of soymilk-drinking faggots.

I remember reading about the Bundeswehr involvement in the Iraq War, and it was just sad.
Whenever shit hit the fan, the Burgers would investigate with most of the other NATO participants supporting them, while the Sauerkrauts hid in their secure bunkers and wouldn't let anyone in, be it friend or foe.
Older brother of a buddy of mine is serving in our army, ground troops. He was building a house for his family around then, so he needed the money and deployed. Stated "the Germans always disappeared when the bullets started flying".

Did the evidence glow in the dark?

I read somewhere that ammo had been stolen and a plan to kill the party leader for Die Linke was found.
edit. here is the wikipedia article about it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_X_plot

Well they were accused of trying to assassinate the leader of a fringe party that gets <10% of the vote and has zero power in government, and the only person arrested was only charged with allegedly interfering in the investigation...

How exactly was this news again?

So what will happen to the commandos? Will they get new military positions with same or higher pay grade? Or will they be unemployed and pissed?

when personal of the military hatch a plan to murder party leader and the former president of the state, that is news. Die Linke is in the german parlament.

exactly, when they hatch a plot.

10% is a sizable chunk in Germany's multi-party system. The SPD, the oldest and one of the most well-established parties has only twice as much. It's similar in size to the AfD which caused everyone to panic.
They're also part of the government in several German states, including the capital.

The weird part is how they didn't have enough evidence to even arrest, let alone convict any of the conspirators, yet they went to the press with it. That's like trumpeting your own incompetence from the rooftops if everything alleged is true. They're basically going "hey guys, there are right-wing terrorists we trained to be experts in small-arms tactics running around, and we caught exactly zero of them!". Oh yeah, and their alleged target is still doing just fine, a couple years later.

My point is that it sounds like the story may have been exaggerated. If everything alleged was true, I'd expect at least more charges, firings, etc. Oh, and some actual evidence.

Kramp-Karrenbauer needed something to make her look like she's doing something. Hunting Nazis is always a good thing, especially in police and Bundeswehr. Next up: Fire brigades.

just another step towards declawing the german army
these efforts have been going on for decades, it's not surprising they'd axe the special forces sooner or later
Declawing? The German Army is as sharp as the dildo the nation has inserted up it's ass over the past 20 years. It's not even ribbed for her pleasure anymore--that would be too offensive.
