Ghostbusters hasn't even come close to make it's production budget in domestic sales, let alone the overall costs including marketing:

Gee, I guess SJWs will have to step up their game by throwing even more money into a furnace and watch the movie over and over again to inflate viewership.

Also: According to Box Office Mojo, Ghostbusters made roughly 2.000 Dollars in Switzerland. Guess that makes them Misogyny Central.

I don't know what's up with that Switzerland number but I'd wager it opened on a single screen and will probably expand later. Either that or that was just the number for last Thursday (when it opened there) and the online box office sites haven't yet received the full weekend numbers for Switzerland.

Cause, you know, every character should just be a checklist of attributes and qualifiers (none of which are ever allowed to be offensive*, of course) that are never going to get anything more than a mere nod towards existing.
Don't let the character's actions speak for themselves, don't have anything subtle, don't leave anything to the audience to discover or discuss. Rub the viewers face all over the lipservice-qualifiers (especially when they have no bearance to the plot) and make sure noonce can ever escape them.

Also, by pandering to incredibly short lived trends and views, you will totally make it a timeless classic.

"Look, it's not my fault I can't enjoy a movie unless I know exactly which classes of people each character wants to bump uglies with. Blame Sony-- they could just publish a spreadsheet of this information. Print it out and leave it under the seats in the theater."

If you want there to be equality, true equality, when it comes to gender identity, you're going to have to realize that the end goal of that is a world where nobody talks about it because IT DOESN'T MATTER.

But that's not what SJWs want

They want to have the cake and eat it too when it comes to "representation" in media.

They not only want their special snowflakes to be treated as equal, but they want it constantly pointed out how different and special said character is, which, make their portrayal inherently unequal and incongruous to the narrative. Make special, but not special at all.

It's a Catch-22 that they are either ignorant of or purposefully pushing so that they can always be right. Whichever option is taken by media producers, the SJWs will retreat to the other side and claim oppression.

You can't win, and ultimately, neither can they. This will all stop when they figure out pandering to them works no better than pandering to any other group of radical identity-politics nutballs.

Given how little they actually show up it's more like kicking over the tv, yelling at it to pander, then walking away as it does.

I'm perfectly calm about it, it's just an observation that you can't please these people no matter how hard you try.

I look to the example of my own employer, we don't ask for comprehensive sexual histories of our employees or customers because all we care about is if you can afford the service and if we can get you on the schedule today, simple, painless, and no social strife at the end of the day.
