Gotta get that trans representation somehow! :^)

Seriously though, the funny thing about this reboot is it's going to catch some shit no matter how well the critical consensus rates it.
When the reviews come out and they are generally receptive towards the film, we're gonna hear cries along the lines of "SJW SHILLS" coming from the super-edgy "lel u triggered" types.
But conversely, if it gets a critical thrashing, the "MISOGYNY" soundbite that has been repeated since the first trailer came out as a muzzle against legitimate criticism is only gonna get louder (Not that there aren't any legitimate misogynists baring their fangs, but I digress).

Granted, I myself don't have a lot of confidence in the film, but the best thing to do is to wait and see. And laugh and the particularly autistic defenders/haters, in true Kiwi fashion.

Did they spend all their money on snarky advertising? That's some of the worst CGI I've ever seen.
It looks like the intro animation to a PS2 game... And even that's flattering towards this shit.

I bet McCarthy is gonna supply a line of unadultered hilarity such as "I think I found its weakspot!"

On the other hand, I can't wait for this movie to hit stream sites. Looks like it's a perfect movie for a "shitty movie" night.

I never saw Ghostbusters as a kid so I'm honestly perplexed why this is such a big deal to so many people. I finally saw it in college and it was ok I guess. I also used to play one of the old NES era ghostbusters games as a kid, and that was also okay.

I was born in early 1980s and I saw both original parts on the TV. It was simply part of background noise, something that reappeared once in a while, like the Home Alone flicks. Everyone's moved on since then and what's happening now with people making out the reboot to be the greatest act of barbarism against mankind's cultural heritage since the Taliban blew up the Buddhas of Bamiyan is plain baffling. There is a reason people who sperg out about it are in their early 20s - people my age simply don't give a fuck anymore.

"Ghostbusters" is my favorite movie but a shitty remake isn't worth chimping over. If your childhood is raped by fictional media then you have severe mental problems.

My ability to feel much outrage over shitty remakes has been long dampened by other atrocious Hollywood shit. Like colorizing Sinatra movies and giving him brown eyes. Seriously, once you've seen that, your ability to get angry about much is exhausted.

The original Ghostbusters was shit so I seriously doubt this movie can be much worse. No idea why anyone cares so much, Ghostbusters is easily the most overrated franchise since Spiderman.

I dont even care about the movie or the fact that its supposed to be genderswapped.
I just find it funny that the women they cast aren't even that funny to me. there are plenty of funny female comedians.
