He has been completely insane on Twitter. I heard him on a podcast, he seemed okay and I was like, "What a thoughtful point." But when you look at his Twitter it's borderline Patrick Tomlinson levels of attacking people who have very little to do with him.
"You had a bit part on a TV show 25 years ago! I gave you your big break! You must support me politically now!" That's not how life works.
He's compared himself to JK Rowling with the way the HP actors disavowed her. JKR insisted on using local talent from the UK even though they could've made literal Hollywood films. She was really careful about her IP and didn't just let Hollywood cast The Rock as Hagrid or whatever crazy ass thing they'd have done. She wanted the kids to be safe and have a good experience. How many film writers even think about the cast's well being? She advocated for a lot of sensible things and supported the British film industry in a big way which created many, MANY jobs. They made, what, 7 or 8 movies? The main cast all became zillionaires who can be very picky about their projects and do weird artsy things if they feel like it, like Radcliffe, or keep making big budget films, like Watson.
That's WAY different from giving an actor 10 minutes of screen time on a TV show nerds liked decades ago. He's totally lost it.
There's also this thing where he's swung from far left to far right in his ideology. He seems unstable. Why not land in the middle, have a nice life as a moderate? He's just addicted to the drama at this point.
