Glinner attempts to call a ceasefire in the gender wars to send support to comedian Janey Godley, of TRUMP IS A CUNT sign fame, who has announced she is receiving end-of-life care. Goes about as well as you'd expect.

I find it interesting that he describes it as "The Issue" in capital letters like that. It's like this is the only issue that matters to him; an issue so close to his heart that he has torched his career and wrecked his marriage over it, despite the fact that the issue is in no way personal to him, and likely wouldn't have had any real impact on his life if he didn't keep going out of his way to involve himself in it. Sympathizers may frame this as some kind of selfless act, but when all he has to show for his activism is embarrassing own goals and personal breakdowns on social media, one ultimately has to ask the question: why?

It's such a bizarre self-implosion to watch unfold, and the more counterproductive his efforts become, the more single-mindedly invested he becomes in them, like a dog chasing it's own tail.

I can totally relate to him. Well, trying not to torch my career or marriage or anything like that, but since discovering this topic, I am totally obsessed.

He also used it as a justification to depict anybody who disagrees with him as immoral monsters. I think he uses this mindset as a crutch to shield himself from ever having to reflect on how much of his professional and social decline was self-inflicted. After all, it was only his ethical high-mindedness that made him spend all his time on social media and burn all his bridges. Personal vindictiveness or an obsessive personality have nothing to do with it.

My greatest problem with troons is how they claim that anybody who doesn't see transwomen as women is Hitler squared. Personally, I think that outside of pure mathematics, pretty much everything should be open to debate. I don't think people are automatically evil because they think trans women are women. Deluded, yes, but not evil.

Glinner, however, wouldn't agree. He is as inflexible as any TRA. The only reason anybody would disagree with him is because they are evil and deserve to be destroyed. That he picked trannyism as the focus of his efforts is purely incidental. If he hadn't made the IT crowd episode with the transwoman, he would have never dug in his heels about the issue after receiving criticism and would have found something else to obsess and destroy his life over.

In fact, if it weren't for that one incident of getting into an online slap fight with troons, he might as well have ended up pro-trans and would now depict JKR, terfs and GCs as the new Nazis.

Ultimately, I think his rabid attacks on entertainers like Bill Bailey is in fact more harmful to the cause of gender critical people because all any normie will see is an unhinged goblin spewing venom at a lovable musician and funnyman. Same is true for most of his personal attacks. If Glinner really cared more about the cause of women defending their rights than his ego, he would keep these things in mind and adjust his tone. But of course he is just doing what his overblown sense of self dictates and damn the consequences. In this, too, he is a lot like the troons he criticizes.

It's weird to me because he had no qualms about like, Ireland. He was one of the people who wanted to dismantle the old church-dominated society but didn't think about what might replace it. Trannyism peaked him and now he's gone full alt-right to an extent that is honestly really weird. He's a Trump supporter. Israel supporter. Ten years ago he was extremely left wing and now he's gone fully to the other extreme.

Guys like this weird me out. None of the 'little' things (mass third world immigration to IRELAND of all places which never has any jobs to begin with and is a net exporter of people) bothered him at all. I basically agree with him as regards the GC stuff but why did he - like why did it take this for him to peak?

Always wondered why JK has never acknowledged him, then i read this thread lol

I can see him topping himself, or hooking up with a tranny.
He has been completely insane on Twitter. I heard him on a podcast, he seemed okay and I was like, "What a thoughtful point." But when you look at his Twitter it's borderline Patrick Tomlinson levels of attacking people who have very little to do with him.

"You had a bit part on a TV show 25 years ago! I gave you your big break! You must support me politically now!" That's not how life works.

He's compared himself to JK Rowling with the way the HP actors disavowed her. JKR insisted on using local talent from the UK even though they could've made literal Hollywood films. She was really careful about her IP and didn't just let Hollywood cast The Rock as Hagrid or whatever crazy ass thing they'd have done. She wanted the kids to be safe and have a good experience. How many film writers even think about the cast's well being? She advocated for a lot of sensible things and supported the British film industry in a big way which created many, MANY jobs. They made, what, 7 or 8 movies? The main cast all became zillionaires who can be very picky about their projects and do weird artsy things if they feel like it, like Radcliffe, or keep making big budget films, like Watson.

That's WAY different from giving an actor 10 minutes of screen time on a TV show nerds liked decades ago. He's totally lost it.

There's also this thing where he's swung from far left to far right in his ideology. He seems unstable. Why not land in the middle, have a nice life as a moderate? He's just addicted to the drama at this point.

Doesn’t JK kinda look out for people on the downlow? Like how the police have stopped going after TERFs because they magically get really good legal council?

Kinda makes me think he may have been a cunt to her or one of her friends in the past.

Another possibility is that he does seem to believe in “true trans” which really doesn’t help the issue. How are woman supposed to know that guy in their changing room is a self hating gay guy rather than an autistic Reditor who is planting cameras in there?

Either way it is strange how she seems to have left him out in the cold.

Linehan has been name-calling a lot of people he used to claim as friends, and trying to demand things of them. If JKR helps him, who's to say he won't turn on her, too, for some perceived slight?

JKR has also always been pretty consistent in any positions she takes publicly. Linehan went from being a far left guy to a Trump supporter. That's pretty drastic. He isn't coming across as a stable person. He's not a poor person who works at a store or something. He's made a lot of money (he was a script doctor for Hollywood comedies with development problems in addition to his hit shows) he should honestly still have some.

Linehan's also being dishonest a lot. Maybe not intentionally, but there are definitely things he's not admitting to himself. He turned down 6 figures for the Father Ted musical. It's not being "held hostage," they don't want to make it with him attached and that's a wise decision. No one is more blue-haired and stridently liberal than theater audiences, if they make it with him no one is going to make 6 figures, they will lose money.

He had that famous interview where he cried and said the trans activists took his family. In his own memoir he talks about yelling at his kids because he's busy with streaming and Twitter.

He did this to himself. I wish the guy well but he's mental, he thinks the problem is everyone else, but it's him.

Not sure I can make it through this video.

The 17 year old "child" this tranny is talking about is a 6 foot tall obese man who was intentionally shoving his phone camera an inch from the face of any elderly pensioner he could find at that Battle of Ideas event. Linehan walking up to that "child" to take the phone out of their hands and throw it down onto the concrete was one of the few based things he's done. It's Linehan though so naturally he had to ruin it by being a drunk retard later that day, but good on him for teaching that 17 year old "child" a lesson that you can't start harassing old ladies without a bystander enacting some consequences for it.

He was never that wealthy. You’d be amazed how many entertainment jarent that well off. He will have lived like a millionaire but that’s because these fuckers get tons of freebies and can charge back on expenses.

If he’d been in America and had his hit shows there, but the BBC and Channel 4 are dishing out millions to writers. His stiff is now that old he doesn’t get residuals from repeats anymore, and DVD sale royalties are long gone.

Couple that with a divorce and insisting on living in London like an utter retard rather than a cheaper party of the country then what cash he has is feign drained quickly. He’s talked about how he’s had to hide his car from bailiffs.

This guy is seen as absolute poison to the media class. It sounds like he gets the odd bit of work but would you hire him if it meant risking his involvement being found out just caused non-stop death threats from troons and no one buying your show?

He has set his life on fire over this. He’s been pretty dumb not monetising his streams. He could make a modest living out of it, but I think he’s got a weird artistic temperament which just expects money to come to him.

I agree he’s not good with money.

The way most British productions is by selling overseas (like The Office ) but I would have to look up if any of his concepts was successful in Japan or Germany or another country. The IT Crowd didn’t work for network tv in the States.

He would’ve been well paid but not publicly credited for script doctor work based in the US though if that’s correct. i think he’d also have money from someone even buying the rights to option the IT Crowd in the US.

I don’t know why he hasn’t monetized streaming I thought he did at least for “The Mess We’re In.” His audience is mostly women so I don’t know if they’d watch him stream games.

He made a creepy AI “Blocked and Reported” the other day. He did identify it properly as a spoof but it was still sort of creepy. He’s going to get sued if he’s not careful.

I don't know who this guy is, but he popped up in my recommended.

Shaving dry on webcam surrounded by clutter? Once again, CWC did it first.

vv yeah the Dankula thing was some bullshit considering he wrote an episode of Ted that finishes like this:
He's learnt from it though and seems to be less of a hypocritical melt now that he's somewhat outside the media bubble.

He's one of the two guys who co-created Father Ted and created and wrote The IT Crowd, who originally cheered on but eventually apologized for supporting the jihad against Count Dankula, and ultimately broke with SJW-ism over troons, and hates them enough that even a Kiwi Farmer would tell him lol calm down.

Also it's a hoot but isn't it funny when you see something randomly pop up and think "I bet this guy has a thread. . ."

I can fix him

A man not far from his 60s dry-shaving on webcam so he can look presentable as he dredges up the ghost of Gamergate, his face bleeding, picking at the wound in his room cluttered with board games... laughing at shit like that is what this web-zone was founded on.
