💼 Careercow Glinner / Graham Linehan - Disgraced Comedian, Mentally Ill to the point of worrying his Family, Hypocritical Misogynist, TERF ANTIFA Quasimodo Doppelganger w/ One Ball & Hateboner for GAMERS/Trump/Brexit/Count Dankula; #ThanksGraham

It’s a win, the NHCI stuff was really bad. They could get you tagged with one for anything and they show up on enhanced disclosure reports. That means that you could get one for doing nothing, no due process and lose a job because of it. Really dystopian stuff.
The rabbit couple are fun. this is prime British dissent, being polite and yet incredibly scathing. Taking the piss and rescuing animals at the same time. I hope Graham the bunny enjoys being out on bale (lol.)

They're going to still record NCHI, they just won't let you know know via an investigation. So can get refused for a job that requires an Enhanced Disclosure Check and have no idea why as they police have been secretly marking your record with naughty boy points from irate troons.

It's actually gone from weird rainbow police state to full on Kafkaesque nightmare rather than getting any better.

Presumably data protection laws would still apply and they'd have to tell anyone who put in subject access requests? The sneaky bastards.

Challenging Conehead for most inbred physiognomy in Britain.
He's a bog, not a bong. There's some overlap and they're easily confused, but they are distinct breeds.

ETA: I don't think it's genetic because he was actually not bad looking in his youth, but fat and nut cancer have made him hit the wall harder than Princess Di. IIRC it's the same drugs they use to treat baw cancer that troons use, so you'd think the troons would see him as a cautionary tale rather than just hating him. As he is now, so shall they be (if they don't 41%).

Ok I read the article wrongly then. I thought they weren’t going to record them. How is that legal ??
It’s insane is it? We can thank Tony Blair and decades of Tory rule who refused to fix policing and let the blue haired nonsense run wild. It’s why “scrapping the college of policing” has to pretty much be in the manifesto of whoever I vote for next.

“Someone must have made a false accusation against Josef K., for he was arrested one morning without having done anything wrong.” This is somehow the world we live in now.

Judgement will be delivered 25th November.

Worth checking out reporting of the third day of the trial as we heard testimony from Kate Harris, Fiona McEnena and Julie Bindel. The latter had a killer line on Brooks: "If I had a Mastermind subject it would be male violence, harassment and intimidation and I know it when I see it".

Nick Wallis has requested a copy of various materials referred to in court, including correspondence between Brooks/Lynsay Watson and the police.

Note that days 1 and 2 are incomplete when using Thread Reader, including on Nick's blog, so if you want to see absolutely everything you have to go directly to X. I think Nick realised this and compiled day 3's tweets manually.

Also from Nick's blog, a summary of the prosecution and defence [archive]. For anyone too lazy to click the above links, here's my own summary:

The prosecution
Glinner admits that he threw the phone and e dunnit coz e 8s poor dainty trans girlies. He kept tweeting about it, which is unacceptable and caused the claimant Alarm And Distress™.

The defence
There's no evidence Glinner's actions actually caused the damage to the phone and the claimant's word can't be trusted. Brooks clearly wasn't alarmed or distressed but is a hypocrite who engages in behaviour just as bad (tweeting veiled threats, violent fantasies and unfounded allegations, taking pictures of people and asking for their personal information, getting kicked out of women's events for being disruptive) as what he's accusing Glinner of.

This man, and I cannot emphasize this enough, used to make big money writing punch up for comedy scripts

Like doing fixes on promising scripts that didn’t quite work for Hollywood projects not uk tv

He made some real money

He now has a merch store like a girl in college who vlogs as a side job

This is a huge fall from grace

And he isn’t doing normal activism like Julie Bindel

He ends up on trial for knocking a teens phone out of their hand and refusing to give it back instead of producing podcast series and articles

He’s a grown ass man who’s made himself unemployable and friendless and now he has a sad stupid merch store

He is not attractive it’s all his face not like general slogans that would help their cause

It’s still self absorbed entertainment industry wanker reasoning

This is really bad. He should go to treatment for his social media addiction

Who told him this was a good idea?

Writers don't earn the money that you think they do in they UK. It's a small market. That Christmas bump from DVD sales is gone. Most his stuff is so old he doesn't even see residuals on it when it's repeated.

Maybe he'd have been OK if he'd been big in Burgerland but not in a market as small as Bongistan.

Writers can live a millionaires lifestyle but they don't have millionaires money in the bank. He did the retard thing of sticking in London rather than selling up and moving somewhere provincial.

He was shocked by all this and expected everyone to regain their sanity and for him to be able to work again. Practically everyone he knew betrayed him over this. He has not been able to openly work on anything. What's the phrase about going bankrupt? It's slow at first then very sudden?

Graham got a bite [archive] from one of his former celebrity pals, Victoria Coren-Mitchell.

I empathise with Glinner. I'm on this website for the same reason he tweets incessantly. He's tagged Victoria 20 times over the past two years. It might well be annoying but we all recognise what this exchange means.

"You call men women. Should these men be allowed in women's spaces?"
"Leave me alone. We used to be friends. You MUST be better than this."

Only Connect is just a harmless quiz show, but it's on the BBC which continues to unlawfully discriminate against women by delaying changing its trans policies, let alone change its coverage. Only today The Telegraph reported on a leaked document in which advisers warned the BBC was engaging in "effective censorship" through its coverage and selection of trans stories.

He can be cringe, as evidenced by the slightly pompous merch, but on this he is substantively correct. Sea-lioning, but the sea lion spends the rest of his time being arrested by the police at the behest of paedophiles.

I thought he was in Norwich and then moved to London after all the troon shit upended his life? Which is even more retarded, Norwich isn't cheap for Norfolk but it's cheaper than London.

Being correct but cringe is the essential tragedy of Glinner.
(Feel free to put that on a T-shirt, Grazza.)

Attaching judgement and summary.

Graham plans to appeal the criminal damage conviction and the Free Speech Union will pay his costs [archive].

Graham was fined £500, ordered to pay £650 court costs and a £200 surcharge. Total of £1350. Graham does not have to pay compensation to Brooks and the prosecution's application for a restraining order was refused. Brooks did not attend court today.

Quite a good win on the harassment charge. The judge found Graham generally credible, but had concerns about the credibility of the complainant, including:
  • The "alarmed and distressed" "coincidence" (said on at least eight occasions).
  • Refusing to accept the police initially told him no action would be taken despite evidence that Brooks then threatened to challenge said decision.
  • Refusing to accept that he didn't tell the police how he got Glinner's contact details despite police notes showing this.
  • Evasiveness over how many Twitter sock accounts he had.
The judge also acknowledged that Brooks seemed to be in communication with Lynsay Watson and that Watson and Michelle Louise Burrows were the first to report the alleged harassment to the police.

Unsurprisingly, Tarquin's own behaviour came back to bite him. Some things the judge took into account on the harassment charge:
In one of the videos in which the complainant films themself and the defendant whilst calling him an incel, the complainant in my view looks visibly happy and not distressed. These in my view are not the actions of someone who was alarmed and distressed in the way that the complainant sought to portray.
it is important to consider the sort of interactions that the complainant was having online. The complainant called one X user a “fucking weirdo nonce” and in a post asking about an X user said “does anybody have any information on this shameful terf? She took a photograph of me exiting a court room in connection to the QRT which is a crime”. A post seeking information about someone similar to the way in which the defendant sought information about the complainant.
Part of the allegation against the defendant is that he was seeking details of the complainant in the posts that he made. However, the complainant, as above was doing the same of others and in relation to the defendant

On criminal damage, the judge said there was no evidence Glinner was aware of Brooks' conduct inside the Battle of Ideas at the time and did not accept that Glinner was seeking to prevent a crime. Glinner did not feel threatened, the force used was not reasonable and he could've walked away.
the defendant said, “possibly but what am I going to do run away?” That is exactly what he should and could have done
The defendant stated in evidence that after he threw the phone, he immediately knew he should not have done it. In my view the defendant was angry and fed up and that is why he took and threw the phone, not because he was using reasonable force to prevent crime.

Stephanie Hayden released a statement [archive] on behalf of Brooks.

In September the BBC was all "she/her" for Brooks. Since then a leaked memo from an adviser alleged bias on issues including sex and gender and today [archive] we get this:
She also did not find that the complainant, a biological male who identifies as a woman, "was as 'alarmed and distressed' as they portrayed themself to be by these messages and this course of conduct".
