GoFundMe

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I remember a story about someone using gofundme (or some other "give me money to do nothing" website) to help raise money for a kid with a disease to move closer to a hospital, but turned out he never gave any money to the family, total scumbag, wouldn't be surprised if there was something about him here.

Really, gofundme consists of either: scammers, fuckwits who have don't want to deal with consequences themselves, or both.

Also this news piece is pretty interesting http://amp.wsoctv.com/www.wsoctv.co...n-to-pop-apostrump-babyapos-balloon/793583640
Good to know gofundme has it's priorities straight.

So many times on the evening news, there's a story about a family suffering a hardship where the story ends with something along the lines of, "The family has set up a GoFundMe to help cover expenses.

Just as @Burgers in the ass posted above, people seem to use this more to avoid responsibility or because of their own fiscal mismanagement. I'm at the point I wouldn't donate to anything referencing an online fundraising site because there's no way of knowing the money goes for the alleged purpose, especially when I see the donated amount exceeds the target amount..
