Like i said before, i want to believe this could end up being a decent VN, i mean, it is made by spics, so i can asume stuff like poverty and dysfunctional families are going to be recurring themes, certainly they'd make for a more compelling story than whatever the hell GVH was trying to be.

Remaking Snoot Game doesn't seem to be a bad idea, the game could benefit from improved art and backgrounds, i just hope, and good lord i hope the people behind this won't rewrite the game's story and dialog.

The redditnigger audience for snoot, what little I've seen of it, is worse than whom generally populates the snoot thread, and probably on level-ish to what equally little I've seen of the discord faggots. Can't wait to see what they'll do to Rosa, or how much they'll tamper with Ending 3, turning it from a bittersweet yet somewhat hopeful ending into the worst ending in the game.

I feel like we'd need to know who is on the team before making calls like that, The use of AI art in the remake makes me think they might not be as insane as we fear, but that new dialogue is something else. At least I expect the use of the Term "Faggot" and maybe "Trigger/Trigga" to be removed or toned back, if anything is changed at all.

Hey all, I was gonna publish this a bit later but since someone brought up the topic recently I decided to make this announcement early.

My name is RuffyYoshi, I'm a Hungarian furry artist and former graphic designer. After having recently completed the game and watched the Cavemanon devs play through GVH, I had the idea for a passion project to remaster Snoot Game.

The project would include a complete graphical overhaul from top to bottom (updated character sprites, backgrounds helped by AI, new GUI, remastered cutscenes), new cutscenes, and new lewds. A friend of mine agreed to help on the programming side, and another to do testing as the project goes on. I would likely shoulder most of the work being the artist and all, but with a consistent daily schedule I should be able to finish the project by sometime in 2025 at most. I've been working on designs and artwork for how I would like it to look in advance to give you an idea how it would look. Keep in mind there's work to be done on all of these still. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas and feedback, feel free to share.

This version would not be a mod, but a separate base game. Maybe if it works out well enough the devs can share it next to the original version, who knows!

From that I can say with some relief he's not exactly from the part of the fandom I'd assumed, but still the addition of new scenes is something to be wary of. Snoot game already had it's miniscule amount of softcore 'anon's daydream fantasy' imagery so from what he's saying on that the additions wouldn't be that different from what's already there, though it seems pretty pointless and trying to score points with coomers is not to the game's benefit. I didn't even realize from Neet's post, but

That, plus the original snoot game came out in 2021. If people are THAT gun-ho about making a remake THIS soon to something that was WAY more successful than the source material, it can't possibly be anything but bad. I'm thinking either...

• This is someone that wants to be as successful as CaveAnon by pulling the "anything you can do I can do better" copycat shtick
• Someone that is seething really fucking hard that Snoot Game did better than GVH, and is under the guise of "how do you do fellow snoot fans! wouldn't it be great if Snoot Game had more stuff added to it???"

Besides, giving Snoot Game an overhaul is missing the entire fucking point of snoot, in that an amateur team with no money and little skill made a way better game than a studio with "skills", major software and got paid by the canadian government. That's part of the charm of Snoot, and doing all of this unnecessary bullshit is just going to get rid of it.

the dogs are a reference to an e celeb who was one of the first people in Latam to cover snoot and his gf, and games referencing e celebs is always a redflag for me, so what little fiath i had in that project evaporated. Also that snoot remake looks like cheeks lmao.

It bothers you because it looks like it was done to avoid copying GVH. Snoot Game sprites look like GVH because thats the intention, these feel like what would've happened if Cavemanon got wind of a possible Cease and Desist.

Honestly, I'm not totally sure. The easiest method likely wouldn't even be contacting the Cavemanon team, you'd just make a mod where you replaced the spritework. My understanding of RenPy is a bit limited, but it's a pretty simple language, and I'm fairly certain other mods exist that just replace some sprites and keep all the scripting. He said in one of his replies that it would be "pretty heavy" so that you wouldn't want to just throw it on top of Snoot like you do with other mods, but I'm not sure if that's because he wants to change the GUI elements, or if there's some other reason. Maybe the changes to scenes/additional scenes necessitate making it separate.
